HerzogParticipant
What is the fascination with L.A. Can they really support 2 teams? can they support 1? Original L.A. Rams fans are getting screwed the most by this. St. louis Rams fans got screwed last year, next year, it’s L.A. Rams fans.
The actual Rams team is continually getting screwed. They won’t ever get a chance to really enjoy this move and being the centerpiece of the greatest stadium ever built.
I hate this too.
January 11, 2017 at 6:47 pm in reply to: speculation conversation…what if they switched to a 3/4 #63161HerzogParticipantI must admit, I don’t know jack about 3-4. So I guess we’re saying Quinn and Barron as the other two linebackers? Outside linebackers? I don’t really get it.
HerzogParticipantMcVay and Phillips? I stand corrected. Would LOVE that.
HerzogParticipantI don’t want McVay. I’m concerned with what coaches he could bring along with him.
I do like the Shanahans as a pair b/c that’s twice as much exposure to different coaches to choose for the staff.
I am hoping papa Shanahan comes along as bench coach or assistant head coach. He is a brilliant tactician from what I’ve read.Other than that, I want someone that has been a part of a winning organization so they know how to build one. Please no “excellent” coordinators from losing teams.
HerzogParticipantThere is no limit to what this Rams organization can screw up is there?
HerzogParticipantThe “Hopefully a lot of guys will be a lot more hungry” quote is telling, and speaks volumes as to the the mindset of where some of his teammates priorities might be.
Remember, Lamarcus Joyner said as much during Hard Knocks when he almost quit the team. “All these guys.. They be in the locker room … It’s about money, it’s about girls, it’s about cars. Coach, I love this game.”
If they aren’t hungry they shouldn’t be here.
The Jamon Brown quote about the line and running back not being on the same page is stunning. It sounds like they were blocking one way and Gurley did whatever the hell he wanted. Gurley was a problem this year. Even when he broke open a guy could finger tackle him. That concerns me.
And of course this classic from Greg Robinson:
Greg Robinson: “Whoever comes in, I just hope they push me. I’m willing to step up.
WHAT!!!
“Push you”? Seriously?
How about they “push you” out the door. The team is not only dumb and unfocused–it’s lazy.
Bring in a hardass. Bring in someone with no patience for this.
Something changed. Last year, you could see the zone blocking, the cut-back, and the run. It just didn’t look the same this year. I wonder if Boras and Groh are the ones who were not on the same page.
There was a disconnect somewhere. So depressing.
HerzogParticipantI’m not convinced that Martz was even a great offensive coordinator.
The infusion of talent he got when he took over the job was insane. Warner, Holt, Bruce (off injury) Faulk. There’s a lot of coordinators that would have suddenly become “brilliant”.
Not that he wasn’t good…. but that word genius was thrown around a lot, and I just don’t think he was balanced enough to call him that. He also couldn’t hold a job after he left….as an offensive c.
I remember the time Warner came back after an injury…. and one of the first plays Marrz ran was a run with Kurt blocking…. Genius!!!!

HerzogParticipantBring the Shanahans in! Kyle with Dad as consigliere…. I’d be down with that.
December 17, 2016 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Bleacher Report on coaching changes, says the Rams are targeting McDaniel #61269HerzogParticipantI believe zn is right on McDaniels. An asshole is an asshole.
He may recognize some errors he made in Denver, but assholes will just make errors in new ways even if they don’t make the same error twice. It is a character thing, and I don’t want him with the Rams.
Love this theory. assholes are just Assholes……
……although Bilichek is an asshole… and he’s done pretty well……

December 7, 2016 at 6:21 pm in reply to: Jeff Fisher was 'unaware' Rams GM Les Snead also got an extension #60530HerzogParticipantThe man does have a survival instinct. The mustache really bothers me now.
HerzogParticipantI think he stays.
To me, the most important thing is that Goff stays in the same system. I must admit, I don’t even know what system we use right now. Whatever it is, I want that to continue. I don’t want him to have to learn a whole new syntax.
Other than that, I don’t give a ____. Ok I do, but it makes me feel better to say that I don’t.
HerzogParticipantNow I want Fisher to stay for another year.
seriously.
hey. you have no clue what you’re doing. you’re a loser…
and oh by the way. do you think you could help my friend out here?
hahahaha!
LOL! It’s just ridiculous
December 5, 2016 at 1:42 am in reply to: Bonsignore: Despite extension Rams/Fisher to divorce & other extension articles #60300HerzogParticipantI wonder is someone was whispering in his ear.
HerzogParticipantYeah…. I think Bill was trying to gain a tactical advantage
HerzogParticipantAight cool…..
HerzogParticipantI’m not trying to win anything….. I’m just expressing my point of view.
I don’t understand why you are telling me that I’m trying to win something.
I am mildly irrritated by this
HerzogParticipantOk, I wanna say a little something. Yes, of course circumstances do matter. That’s why Jimmy Johnson can build a dynasty in Dallas, and “not so much” in Miami.
That being said, If some of those circumstances are caused by the Head Coach’s moves that went sour…than you can’t just say “circumstances” any more than you can say “Record only”
If the head coach runs the whole show, than isn’t he accountable? If his decisions led to the circumstances that we are talking about….isn’t he responsible? Maybe not.
MAYBE NOT.
But some Coaches have a knack for winning and team building. I recently read the wikipedia page on Andy Reid. It almost made me throw up. He took that team (philly) and turned it around SO FAST. And maintained a high level of play for SO LONG. Now he’s continuing to win in Kansas City.
I WISH so much that he was the coach of the Rams. The very best coaches seem to shape the team regardless of circumstance. They almost will it to happen. There’s not many out there that can do it. Reid and Billichek are two of those coaches. The Harbaughs’ might be in that category.
I really believe that Fisher doesn’t have team building vision. There’s no comprehensive plan past this season and “hopefully next”.
I don’t know. BLECH I don’t know why I’m even posting about this.

HerzogParticipantNow I want Fisher to stay for another year.
HerzogParticipantlosingest Head Coach in NFL history
I really think you have a point there. It’s embarrassing.
HerzogParticipantI understand Williams may have thrown him under the bus for bounty gate, but fuck him……..
LOL!! I’m with you on this.
HerzogParticipantI don’t have a problem with them banning ED from the sideline. I mean, that’s where the team needs to be a team. You can’t have someone destroy a coach on tv and then you have to see them with you on game day.
I certainly wouldn’t want to work under those conditions.
If ED loves the Rams, he should do whatever it takes to HELP them. Publicly humiliating them is not really helping them IMO.November 28, 2016 at 2:03 pm in reply to: Goff Goes Off! Rookie Throws 3 TDs in First Half | Rams vs. Saints | NFL – Video #59699HerzogParticipantHis awareness and reactions under pressure are really first-rate. From what we saw today, it is possible to see him becoming the best qb the Rams have had for decades
Yeah…..YEAH!! Just don’t change the system next year.
HerzogParticipantI’m starting to see what you are saying. I guess it’s all muddled to me bc he also was responsible for the talent he has. He can’t make his offense work bc he doesn’t have the right QB and/or personnel…. which he is responsible for.
HerzogParticipantWe’ve seen Fisher offenses for five years. We may not have seen it at its full potential, but we’ve seen it.
This is a special kind of ineptnessNovember 23, 2016 at 1:45 pm in reply to: Every Throw from Jared Goff's First Career Start (Week 11 Highlights) | Dolphins #59330HerzogParticipantsomething else I”d like to say. I really liked the way he eluded pressure and was still looking downfield for the throw. He does it much more naturally than Bradford did when he was a rookie.
I think the beating he took in college oddly may have prepared him for and NFL pass rush.
HerzogParticipantGoff breaks out of his shell…and has a good game, Rams should win since they are now pretty much out of the playoff hunt.
HerzogParticipantPenalties are bad. I can kind of buy the notion that good defenses are penalized more. Still, I remember DV having good defenses without the high penalty count.
Stupid penalties are inexcusable.
I am angry
HerzogParticipantFish has got to send a message to these players that stupid penalties are unnacceptable. There needs to be blood in the locker room…..Somebody needs to lose a few fingers or something.
