I’m betting he also paid close attention to what the Hawks did to stop them. Until the last game there was NO blueprint on how to stop that offense. At least now there is one.

The Rams are a top five team. I am convinced of that. Next week scares the crap out of me. The next two games actually. They have to beat the best team, and the team that beat the best team. Will be fun to see how the Rams stack up.

    BTW, how did Ebukam do?

You might be right about Simms. It probably wasn’t vicious…. he might just be that dumb….bless his heart

To me its always McV-Wade. Like with DV-Martz. Its the combo.

And why in the hell Denver let Wade walk away is beyond me.

The Rams got big breaks with other teams stupidity:
Buffalo, Cincy and Denver all made bonehead mistakes imho.

    Whitworth, Watson/Woods, Wade.

Yeah, letting Wade go was a head scratcher. They really believed in his replacement. Hubris….Thank God.

Thanks ZN, now I don’t have to find it. That’s exactly what I was talking about as far as the Patriots. Some guys have said that the Patriots also line up very quickly for this reason.

What the hell did they think the communication device was for….to ask him how his day was?

    Idiocy.

But I feel it’s stupid to say it’s cheating. Like REALLY stupid. My guess is that most offensive coordinators aren’t smart enough to do what Mcvay is doing. Even if they tried. The Patriots most likely have been doing this for years.

Cheating isn’t the word. There is no word for what Simms is trying to say. He also tried the word “unethical,” but that isn’t precise, either.

It’s just not cricket. It’s not sporting. It violates the British unspoken rules of conduct.

I get what he means, like I said. I just don’t think his opinion means anything. There may be other people who share it, too, but unless the rules committee decides to care, it’s a non-issue.

Now I get what he means. Only bc you explained it to me. Still hate that little shit for saying it

I see what Simms is saying, but I don’t care. I liked when QBs called their own plays. I also don’t like the Designated Hitter. And I think ejecting Marty McSorley for a curved stick was whack. But those is the rules.

If the technology is there, it’s going to get used. You cannot regulate what is said. If the league doesn’t like it, they can eliminate the headsets altogether, or change the cutoff moment to when the huddle breaks. My guess is that more teams will just start doing it. But I don’t care.

I mean…once they went to headsets and ipads and cameras in the sky and whatever…teams are going to use it to their advantage. Whatever.

But I feel it’s stupid to say it’s cheating. Like REALLY stupid. My guess is that most offensive coordinators aren’t smart enough to do what Mcvay is doing. Even if they tried. The Patriots most likely have been doing this for years.

I agree with LA also, but ….. he’s already a very good qb. He will get better and he’s going to be out of this world.

I am really excited about him.

Fisher relied on unreliable players. Perpetually “developing talent”. That was his fatal flaw.

Did Peter King just pick the Rams to win it all? That is about as surreal as it gets for me.

Man, I don’t know how good this Rams team actually is, but we’re about to find out. After Houston (maybe including Houston) they are about to play some really great teams. I’m excited to see how they measure up, b/c right now, they look pretty damn good.

I’ve always thought this team would be better from week 9 on. Especially Goff, now that they’ve all had half a season to really get the offensive and defensive systems down.
Goff is a special player that simply makes no distinction where he is playing. He doesn’t care. Wet ball, hostile environment; no problem…..and it was all in 3 quarters.

And if that long ball to Watkins becomes a thing now…..OH SHIT, here we go.

Maybe Barron was a born linebacker miscast as a safety. I’ve always wanted a great linebacker and was so disappointed they missed out on Wagner.

A lot of interesting things happening. Joyner is absolutely lights out at safety. Johnson can flat out play too.

I guess thats true. And i guess that means they dont have an ‘elite’ defense that can shut down great offenses, but they have a ‘good’ defense that can generally play well and be a top twelve defense.

Its only a franchise defense, not an elite defense.

There’s no way to tell until we actually play a great offense.

The Rams are a more balanced team, but man Carson Wentz is just a beast. I think they are getting better each week, as are the Rams.
