I started out a Packers fan probably because when I was 7 yrs old I read “Throw the Long Bomb” and it had a forward by Bart Starr. I read everything I could get my hands on because Dad wouldn’t let us have a TV.Of course every monday I would ask all the kids about what was on TV. One friend said his Dad said the Rams were the greatest team in the world. That was all it took to complete the conversion.A little while later Dad began taking us to La Casita Mexican restaurant after church. The cook would take me over to the counter where he had the Rams game on TV! I saw the horns in action and this was still Fearsome Foursome days so there was no turning back.

First let me say that I honestly don’t care where they end up but I can’t believe Kroenke would sell the Rams to buy the Raiders. That would make zero sense.More likely the Rams go to LA and the Raiders to St.Louis.

Sun can you name a team that doesn’t play hard?

Obviously Philly was ALSO playing hard…they won the game.

    That’s not an anomaly.

Against the Rams last year I would put the Raiders Washington and Broncos in that category. All of those teams played tough at times but not against the Rams. I am not impressed with Fisher. I see him as an 8-8 guy that gets lucky sometimes but damn would I love to be proven wrong.

I think TA is an elite punt returner, to that end all of our special teams are elite.Quinn and Donald are already there Our safeties are elite hitters. Ogletree when he’s in shape is very close. On offense Gurley will be it’s just a matter of when

This one was a struggle because the determination was if no good could be said nothing would be said. There was some good there. Most of my interaction with TD was political discussion, knock down drag out affairs you would expect from two opposite views.More times than not they would end with TD offering the olive branch of respect,”you’re not stupid” or “You’re bright” and then an offer to teach me some economics. Also noticed in these discussions that TD was a great Father to his kids, making sure they worked hard.He did in fact teach me what a wheelhouse was. When the rare discussions turned to football, specifically Rams football we were in agreement every time I can remember.

Please pardon my blasphemy but Gurley has Faulk’s micro gears he is definitely a freakish athlete and incredibly strong and he is very smart smarter than A.P. or Eddie George or E.D. for that matter. He is special and though you can see bits and pieces of all kinds of rbs in his game he is a unique talent

Eternal Ramnation… I may have to steal your handle for my fantasy football team.

It used to be Inglorious Bradferds. And that’s where my head’s at.

I thought about Gurley Men, but I don’t like that vibe.

    Foles Gold seems too plain.

“That’s HAH-venstein” is a joke only Mel Brooks fans will get…

    “We’re Jamon”… I couldn’t hardly even type that…

I am warming up to “Pancake Breakfast” what with all of our beefy OL…

but just sayin… if you see Eternal Ramnation in some random fantasy league… it might be me.

I mean, I don’t want to play this year, but my friend is very persuasive…

And if I think of a really good name (c’mon, Inglorious Bradferds was a really good name before he went down…), I’ll have to play…

It’s all yours Mac do it proud!

I remember posting that the Rams should just go all OL in the draft because the rookie OL would help us more than any rookie QB we could draft. I got my wish and then some! I think Gurley is a very significant change for the Rams. One thing Fisher/Snead have been saying about the OL picks are that these are all guys we wanted, they’ve all played a lot of games so they are durable, reliable smart guys. And they are massive (that’s my observation).Mannion looks way better to me than he does to the pundits but I like to think that’s because they are going off 2014 when he had lost his weapons and OL so if you look at Mannion in 2013 with all due respect to Cosell I don’t see Matt Schaub. He has very good accuracy and makes throws that Schaub can’t.

Has to be the tallest draft ever, the OL at 6’7″,6’4″and 6’6″ an one of the few Qbs that can see over that mass of humanity at almost 6’6″!

Titans didn’t want Bradford’s contract would be my guess.

Brian Quick is another Rams player from the 2012 draft class whose contract is up and is still an enigma. He got off to a torrid start, but teams started making adjustments on him. It’s no different from Chris Givens or even former Rams wideout Donnie Avery. The jury is still out on Quick. The fact that he probably won’t be ready until the start of training camp is not a good sign.

I think it was a lot different than Givens or Avery. Quick was unstoppable before the injury,it wasn’t “adjustments on him”

A well protected Bradford takes Philly to SB win and wins MVP honors while Foles misses 15 games with a broken back because Fisher continues to stack the defense and neglect the OL.

Why keeping Lance Kendricks was a Rams priority

    Nick Wagoner, ESPN

    http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/17511/why-keeping-lance-kendricks-was-a-rams-priority

EARTH CITY, Mo. — By now, you’ve probably already heard the story of tight end Lance Kendricks taking a slightly smaller offer to stay with the St. Louis Rams rather than head south to the Atlanta Falcons.

As Kendricks explained, it was a move made in no small part because of other things on the periphery, such as a close relationship with tight ends coach Rob Boras and promises of an expanded role in the passing game.

From the Rams’ side, many of those things held just as true. Upon promoting Boras to assistant head coach/offense and Frank Cignetti to offensive coordinator, the offensive staff began evaluations from last season. One undeniable discovery was Kendricks’ role in pretty much everything that they do.

Lance Kendricks, who had a career-low 27 catches in 2014, hopes to get more looks this season.Joe Sargent/Getty Images

“Coach Boras had a lot to do with him coming back,” head coach Jeff Fisher said. “They talked throughout the process. When we sat down and made the offensive change, the offense sat down there [and] started reviewing our run game and the passing game. It became apparent to them that Lance was very important to us moving forward. As an organization we recognized that, so it was important to get him back.”

While Kendricks played 569 snaps in 2014, which was second among Rams tight ends and in the neighborhood of 60 percent of the total offensive snaps, it’s not so much the number of snaps as the flexibility he gives the offense within those plays. According to Pro Football Focus, Kendricks was asked to run-block on 55 percent of his plays, to pass-block 9 percent of the time and to run a route on 36 percent of his snaps.

It’s in the run game that the Rams particularly value Kendricks because he’s able to be a lead blocker from the backfield or on the line or even out in space.

As for the idea of Kendricks turning down more money elsewhere, Fisher said that was no concern of his, and he’s just happy to have Kendricks back in the fold.

“He was talking with — I believe Atlanta was a key competitor with him,” Fisher said. “It may have been the case where there were a few more pennies on the table there than there were here, but we’re excited to get him back.”

So in Fisher speak they will be trading Kendricks?

There are some very effective strains of cannabis for sleep, non addictive and not toxic like the Rx stuff. I’m curious as to which religion ? No judgement but I have read of some bad meditation/breathing exercises being pushed online with some of the symptoms being depression and hallucination where good meditation practice is the opposite of hallucination.

The 2015 draft class of receivers is one of the deepest in recent memory, and there are all kinds and types for NFL teams to consider — everything from top-tier game-changers to perfect complementary pieces, to talented players in need of development work. It’s time for Doug Farrar of Sports Illustrated and Greg Cosell of NFL FIlms and ESPN’s NFL Matchup to move through this group of pass-catchers player by player and determine their best NFL traits and fits.
