Wasn’t it last year they almost traded him? They wanted a 6th round pick and the other team offered a 7th round pick, so the trade never happened. I am fine with them extending him, just a bit surprised.

Who knows. They’re not done. For example Neary is still listed on the roster.
Neary does not count against the roster until he comes off Suspension. Then he has to get cut or they cut someone else.
