Host Sosa Kremenjas recaps the Los Angeles Rams’ victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 on this episode of the Locked On Rams podcast. Sosa delves into performances by QB Matthew Stafford, RB Sony Michel WR Cooper Kupp, and multiple defenders including CB Jalen Ramsey and DT Aaron Donald as the players who stepped up and led the Rams to victory. Sosa also shares some record-breaking numbers from Kupp this season, and how the Rams have closed the gap plus the final stretch of the race for the NFC West between the Rams and the Arizona Cardinals.

December 21, 2021 10:07 am PT\The Rams fortunately got Von Miller, Jalen Ramsey, Odell Beckham Jr. and Darell Henderson Jr. back from COVID-19 reserve ahead of tonight’s game against the Seahawks, but they’ll still be without three starters.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Rob Havenstein, Tyler Higbee and Jordan Fuller will not play against the Seahawks after they failed to test out of the league’s COVID-19 protocols. That’s disappointing news because all three are important players and almost never come off the field.
Even after today’s moves, the Rams still have 16 total players on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Among them are Joe Noteboom, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo and Terrell Burgess, who stepped up against the Cardinals in Week 14.
Noteboom replaced Havenstein last week at right tackle and played well, but the Rams will need a new plan if he isn’t activated before kickoff. It’s possible Bobby Evans will get the start, or they could move Austin Corbett or David Edwards outside to tackle.

AgamemnonParticipantThe Rams say they have designated RB Jake Funk for return, he was on IR with a hamstring injury – and is pretty interesting, bc that injury was initially characterized as season-ending. Important to finally have more depth at RB late season even with Sony Michel running so well.

Rams News: Jalen Ramsey cleared to play vs Seattle
Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 12/19/21
By Blane Dydasco@BlaneDydasco Dec 19, 2021, 8:05am CSTThe roller coaster that is the Covid-19 era National Football League rolls on with the latest news being good for the Los Angeles Rams. Early Saturday it was confirmed that Odell Beckham Jr was removed from the reserve list and cleared to play and later the same day, Jalen Ramsey became officially cleared to play per Peter Schrager.
Rams (and Jalen Ramsey) got the news around the third quarter of tonight’s Pats-Colts game. He has tested negative and is good to go for Tuesday’s game Vs Seattle. @NFLonFOX
— Peter Schrager (@PSchrags) December 19, 2021
With 24 players remaining on the Covid-19 reserve list as of late Saturday there is hopefully more favorable news to come before the Tuesday matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, but the activation of Ramsey is one of best updates to come since the postponement and since he already missed the Week 14 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
Ramsey played a big role in the first matchup against the Seahawks pitching in to defend receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. There were no Seattle receivers that day that caught more than five passes. However, Metcalf did score two touchdowns on the Rams secondary, one of those coming with Ramsey and Taylor Rapp as the closest defenders.
— Jalen Ramsey (@jalenramsey) December 19, 2021
Against Arizona, the secondary was forced to step up in Ramsey’s absence against AJ Greene and Deandre Hopkins. Darious Williams, David Long Jr, and Kareem Orr took on the load and held their own limiting Hopkins to 54 yards and keeping all Cardinals receivers from scoring any touchdowns.
If the defensive backs can keep their play consistent and get help from the return of Ramsey, then the Seahawks should have their hands full especially given the way the pass rush is coming together with the addition of Von Miller, the progressing play of Greg Gaines, and the always present pressure of Aaron Donald coming off a three sack performance.

December 18, 2021 1:46 pm PTThe Los Angeles Rams have dealt with a serious COVID-19 outbreak in their building over the course of the last week, adding 29 players to the reserve list. But on Saturday, they began to get some players back.
The team announced that six players have been activated off COVID-19 reserve: WR Odell Beckham Jr., DB Dont’e Deayon, RB Darrell Henderson Jr., LB Justin Hollins, TE Brycen Hopkins and OT Alaric Jackson.
Unfortunately, two other players, Joe Noteboom and Robert Rochell, were also added to the COVID-19 list. Noteboom filled in for Rob Havenstein at right tackle in Week 14, while Rochell is currently on IR.
Among the players who are still on COVID-19 reserve are Jalen Ramsey, Von Miller and Havenstein, so the Rams aren’t in great shape yet.
Below are all of the moves made by the Rams on Saturday, including the signing of Damarion’s Randall to the practice squad and designating Travin Howard to return from IR.
LA Rams Transactions:
• Designated for Return LB Travin Howard
• Signed Practice Squad Veterans DB Damarious Randall, LS Carson Tinker
• Signed Practice Squad K Ryan Santoso— Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) December 18, 2021
The Rams will host the Seahawks on Tuesday instead of Sunday after the game was postponed due to the outbreak, giving players more time to be activated before kickoff three days from now.

Host Sosa Kremenjas shares more tough news for the Los Angeles Rams ahead of their Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on this episode of the Locked On Rams podcast. The Rams placed EDGE rusher Von Miller, ahead of more additions to their COVID-19/Reserve list, bringing the total to 25 players including WR Odell Beckham Jr., CB Jalen Ramsey, and many more. Sosa also answers questions on this mailbag Friday episode, including CB Darious Williams’ free agent status, the center battle between Coleman Shelton and Brian Allen, what kind of offense Head Coach Sean McVay will utilize moving forward, and if DT Aaron Donald can win Defensive Player of the Year for the fourth time.

December 17, 2021 12:56 pm PTThe list of Rams players who have tested positive for COVID-19 just keeps growing by the day.
On Friday afternoon, the Rams added four more players to the reserve/COVID-19 list, bringing the total up to 29. Tyler Higbee was among the players added Friday, which is his second time landing on COVID-19 reserve just this week.
Grant Haley, Justin Lawler and Jamil Demby were also placed on the list.
Higbee was put on COVID-19 reserve Monday, just hours before the Rams faced the Cardinals. He was then activated off the list on Tuesday after it was determined that his test was a false positive.
LA Rams Transactions:
• Placed G Jamil Demby, DB Grant Haley, TE Tyler Higbee, LB Justin Lawler on Reserve/COVID-19 list— Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) December 17, 2021
The Rams now have just one tight end on the active roster: Kendall Blanton. Higbee joins Brycen Hopkins, Johnny Mundt and Jared Pinkney as the four tight ends on COVID-19 reserve.
Demby and Haley are both practice squad players, as is Lawler. So Higbee is the only player to go from the active roster to COVID-19 reserve this time around.
