I’m really getting into podcasts and I find myself listening to more and more of them. It’s really cut into the time I used to spend reading.
I’m always looking for another interesting podcast, so whatcha’ got for me?
Here’s some I currently listen to…
https://www.stuffyoushouldknow.com/podcasts – Stuff You Should Know – deep dive into anything and everything
https://www.parcast.com/cults – Cults – a thorough description of specific cults and their associated psychology
https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/lets-talk-about-sects – Let’s Talk About Sects – similar to the above but mostly Australia based
http://www.youmustrememberthispodcast.com/ – You Must Remember This – about the secret history of the golden age of Hollywood – exceptionally well written
http://thispodcastwillkillyou.com/ – This Podcast Will Kill You – All about infectious diseases – the hosts are sorta silly but it’s more endearing than annoying, and the info is very interesting
https://www.carasantamaria.com/podcast – Talk Nerdy To Me – interviews with scientists
https://www.theskepticsguide.org/ – The Skeptics Guide to the Universe – science, skepticism, critical thinking
https://skeptoid.com/ – Skeptoid – short episodes rationally investigating mysteries, debunking pseudoscience
http://www.talkingbiotechpodcast.com/ – Talking Biotech – discussing the latest in biotechnology
https://pointofinquiry.org/ – Point of Inquiry – critical thinking applied to science, religion, culture, etc…
https://commondescentpodcast.podbean.com/ – Common Decent Podcast – evolution and paleontology
http://tetzoo.com/podcast – Tetrapod Zoology Podcast – My favorite – zoology, paleontology, cryptozoology – maybe not for people with only casual interests in these topics
https://monstertalk.skeptic.com/ – Monster Talk – a skeptical look at cryptozoology and the paranormal
http://rationallyspeakingpodcast.org/ – Rationally Speaking – science and skepticism
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/catastrophe/id1473220794 – Catastrophe – Vulcanologist and her husband describe in detail disasters caused by human error
https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/michael-hobbes/youre-wrong-about – You’re Wrong About – correcting the public’s misconception about events of the recent past
https://www.themadsareback.com/movie-sign-with-the-mads-podcast/ – Movie Signs with the Mads – The mad scientists from Mystery Science Theater 3000 review films, both new and old.

I cant say I listen to any podcasts on a regular basis. Sometimes I watch a little Rogan, but only cuz I’m interested in MMA stuff.

Tetrapod Zoology
The Skeptics Guide to the Universe
Monster Talk
You’re Wrong About
Stuff You Should Know
You Must Remember This
This Podcast Will Kill YouYou Must Remember This did a 5 or 6 part series on The Manson Murders. You might ask why would a podcast about Hollywood do a docu-series on Charles Manson and his family? Well, it’s because of the connection to Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski. I’ve always been fascinated by the Manson family and I have to say that docu-series is the best on the subject that I’ve ever seen or heard.

===============
I bought this book. I had zero interest in the Manson case, but this intrigued me. I know the title makes it look all ‘over-the-top’ and stupid, but I think it might be good. I dunno. (there are suggestions Manson might have had weird connections to CIA experiments, btw. And yes, i know how ridiculous that sounds.)

Henceforth you will be known as ‘Squeaky Ram’.
