Attendance at dome was 15,723 for Rams FanFest.

They would’ve been sacks if contact of QBs allowed. Hill is from St. Charles Lutheran HS.

Locally, rookie LB Aaron Hill had strong day w/pick 6 during 11-on-11, and a couple of strong pass rushes _ one during “live” period.

They would’ve been sacks if contact of QBs allowed. Hill is from St. Charles Lutheran HS.

Saffold injury (from Fri) nothing serious; it appears to be a stinger.

DT Michael Brockers looked like he may have tweaked ankle at Saturday’s practice, but nothing serious.

Bradford also connected on a TD pass of 60-plus yards to Kenny Britt during 11-on-11. Bradford showing even more zip on ball than usual.

Too bad Bailey will miss 1st 4 games w/league PED suspension. He and Bradford have good chemistry going.

FanFest practice complete at Edward Jones Dome. Stedman Bailey, caught, maybe 500 passes from Sam Bradford today. OK, slight exaggeration

Rams practice underway. LB James Laurinaitis not practicing. Just came out with walking boot on left foot. But it’s still a mild ankle sprain. Not a high ankle.

Long list of Rams not practicing, some undoubtedly just being rest by Fisher: CB Lamarcus Joyner, CB Janoris Jenkins, S Christian Bryant . . .S Jarrid Bryant, FB Kadeem Jones, LB Johnny Millard, LB Pat Schiller, C/G Barrett Jones, G Brandon Washington, G/T Rodger Saffold. . .WR Briant Quick, DE William Hayes. Saffold, remember left practice late on Friday, shaken up.

Tim Barnes has been the recipient of some nasty pass rush moves from Donald. He may have nightmares of No. 99.

#Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein just attempted two 65-yard field goals in practice, but both kicks fell short. #RamsCamp

    St. Louis Rams @STLouisRams

Fisher on Sam Bradford’s arm strength: “He did a lot of extra conditioning in addition to the rehab on the knee.”

Fisher: “All of the receivers are having a really good camp.”

Jeff Fisher: “That puts an exclamation point on a really good week of practice.”

    Nick Wagoner @nwagoner

RB Tre Mason also getting some reps during the live tackling part of scrimmage.

#Rams have started live tackling portion of scrimmage. Mostly backups with notable exception of first-round picks G. Robinson and A. Donald.

Bradford hits Britt for about a 65-yard touchdown. Perfect throw from Bradford. Britt got behind Darren Woodard.

K Greg Zuerlein short from 65 yards out, Fisher exhorts crowd to cheer before he tries again. And he just misses.

Rams practice underway. LB James Laurinaitis not practicing. Just came out with walking boot on left foot.

There’s a number of Rams not practicing who have been recently. Some could be simple rest or just sitting out full pads.

For what it’s worth, Saffold watching practice in the end zone in hat and shorts. No cast or wrap on hand.

CB Janoris Jenkins, DE William Hayes among others also not practicing.

    ============

Greg Reid and Marcus Roberson did well on the second/third team defense. Both allowed 0 receptions on 2 targets a piece.

Stedman Bailey was Bradford’s favorite target with 5 receptions on 7 throws.

Garrett Gilbert: 6/13 (46%) and Austin Davis: 3/10 (30%), INT. Both had accuracy and decision making issues.

Sam Bradford ends the day 20/26 (77%) with only 4 check downs. His best day in my eyes. (7 and 11′s)

Brockers looks like he has a sprained ankle.

Aaron Hill picks off Davis on a screen.. Davis ends up 3/10 throwing with an INT

Very poor outing today for Austin Davis #RamsFanFest

Kenny Britt & Sam Bradford connect on a 65 yard TD. Woodard schooled on the Go route.

Greg the Leg out here trying 65 yard field goals.

Play of the Day thus far.

Aaron Donald just completely overpowered the OG and stuffed the run at the goal-line. Wow.

Lawrence Wilson making some plays today.

Pettis getting a lot more targets with Quick out.

Mike Sam and the second team D-Line doing work on the goal line.

Bradford struggling to hit Tavon today.

Bond and Barnes opened up a big hole for Mason on the last play.

Brockers walks off gingerly. Ankle injury but doesn’t look too bad.

    Brockers down on the field.

The Rams have been using Tavon Austin in the backfield significantly more this camp.

Shaun Hill just tripped and did a somersault.

Sam Bradford currently 10/11 in 7on7′s and 11on11′s

Sean Hooey struggling with speed outside. Sammy Brown beats him twice.

Travis Bond has been a huge positive throughout camp. 2nd year Guard.

Mike Person did a solid job on the two snaps lined up on Quinn.

Note: Austin Pettis and Tavon Austin are the only ones with red cleats on.

Hayes, Jenkins, Laurinatis all out today as well.

Kickoff Team: TJ, Benny, Davis, McLeod, Daniels, Ray Ray, Harkey, McGee, Reynolds, Bates.

    Tre Mason first team KR.

Christian Bryant out once again as well.

Brian Quick on the sideline today.

Pead, Mason, Veltung, Givens returning kicks.. In that order

One of my very good friends who’s a Bronco fan did the “Pickem” for the entire league and has the Rams going 6-10. Normally, he’s really in touch, but I told him he’s cracked and that he’s overestimating the Seahawks and 9ers and WAAAY underestimating the Rams.

I also told him that I hoped the rest of the league felt as he did.

Several things I let him in on:

    1) Aaron Donald would be the Defensive Rookie of the Year.
    2) Kenny Britt and Brian Quick would have breakout years.
    3) Tavon Austin is going to blow up this year.
    4) Our defense is going to be a top 5 defense.
    5) If we have the same kind of health we did in ’99, this team is just as capable of winning 12-13 games even with our wickedly tough schedule.

If we stay healthy and execute, there are few teams in this league that can beat us, even as young as we are and we are primed to break out.

Sports is the crucible of human virtue. The distillate remains are human vice.

In your blind rush to optimism, here’s all the things you seem to be forgetting.

    1. Sam Bradford has no arm since he hurt his knee.
    2. Jeff Fisher has never been to a superbowl.
    3. The Rams have no one on defense. Except Robert Quinn. But he got his Rams sack record because Favre just let him.
    4. Stan Kroenke owns Walmart. And Walmart is cheap. Cheap doesn’t work in the NFL.
