If the playoffs started today, the (2) Rams would play the (7) Cardinals in the first round.

The (5) Seahawks would play the (4) Eagles, who are 3-6-1.

There’s a legitimate case to be made that the No. 5 seed is better than 2 or 3 this year.

    Alvin L@alfsbones
Jared Goff in the RZ in the last 37 games:

    42 TD
    1 Int

This is something some Rams fans would never acknowledge

    Kylo RN@real_kylo
PFF grades are out. Joe Noteboom graded 84.7 in pass blocking-gave up a SINGLE pressure the whole night.

This was also the highest pass blocking grade of all OL

    Louis Cioffi@NYramfan
Run blocking is very iffy hopefully can get it fixed and get the run game going

    J.B. Long@JB_Long
Notable PFF grades following a @RamsNFL MNF win:

    Corbett 91.9*
    Kupp 85.6
    Brockers 85.1
    Johnson 83.2
    Woods 79.9^
    Hill 90.4 run defense grade

    *Career-high
    ^Season-high

Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods made Rams history last night, doing something no pair of teammates has ever done

Kupp and Woods became the first Rams wide receivers to each catch at least 10 passes in the same game. For a franchise that had Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce playing on the same team, that’s a remarkable stat.

    RIPKobeBeanBryant@Rams24_7
    Rams D:
    -1st in yards/catch: 9.7
    -1st in rec/TDs: 11
    -1st in ypg: 291.9
    -2nd in ppg: 19.2
    -3rd in sacks: 32
    -5th in 3rd down: 37%
    -6th(T) in yards/carry: 3.9

For all the cool schematic stuff that McVay does in his condensed sets to work the key is how good his receivers are at blocking. His 11p can be 12p/13p with the same personnel Since 2017, among players with 400 run blocking snaps, Woods is 1st and Kupp is 13th in run block grade

Shaq Barrett’s name wasn’t even mentioned yesterday, I am pretty sure AROB Havenstein shut him down. Overall great blocking yesterday

Sure, interceptions aren’t great (though I’ll tell you why I’ll spot Jared Goff one of those). But here’s why the Rams QB played one of his best games all season last night – including inside the huddle in a key moment.

Woods said that on the sideline before the Rams’ last drive, with the game tied at 24, players could feel the worried energy from the coaching staff about the big moment that approached, but Goff helped keep everyone cool.

    Brian Baldinger@BaldyNFL
@jnoteboom70 had a great night making his first #NFL start at LT. Credit a masterful job by Aaron Kromer as OL coach and the job he is doing and the protection given to @JaredGoff16 last night. 51 passes/no sacks. Game Ball please! #BaldysBreakdowns https://pic.twitter.com/kron55uRud

    J.B. Long@JB_Long
Goff went 15/17 for 205yds from empty sets Monday, a career best performance in that regard. Season-best showing vs blitz, which goes hand-in-hand, including 2 TDs.

McVay: “This was a defense that did some very similar things (as Miami), and Jared handled it beautifully.”

Cam Akers said that he knew he was the first read on his TD play, and he got excited when he heard the call. “I knew if I got the ball, I would score.”

One note is that Van Jefferson was also the first read on his own TD catch. Post-bye bringing some added trust in the rookies.

    from https://theramswire.usatoday.com/lists/rams-buccaneers-week-11-stats-facts-notes/

Rams now rank 2nd in opening-drive points this year

The Rams immediately put the pressure on Tampa Bay by scoring a touchdown on their opening drive to take a 7-0 lead. In 10 games, they’ve now scored 37 points on their opening drive, which is the second-most in the NFL this season.

Jared Goff passed Kurt Warner for 5th on Rams TD list

Goff has only been in the NFL for four and a half seasons, but he’s quickly rising the all-time passing list in Rams history. With three more touchdown passes on Monday night, Goff now has 103 career touchdown passes.

Goff’s anticipation of pressure was on point and has been the last two games. We can thank Miami IMO for that ass beating that I think led to them as a unit (QB and the pass catchers) sharpening up their blitz pickup and outlet game and the tempo has been excellent since. What Tampa did was not an easy read for a QB, they were mixing it up and Goff basically read every look just a very impressive game by him and far moreso than the Seahawks game. In those situations it’s on him and McVay can’t help him, it was all Goff moving the offense and winning us that game but of course all the talk will be about McVay this week in the media.

Our defense has become an elite run stopping unit. What they did to that Tampa run game was impressive. Front to back these guys just ball their asses off so fun to watch. The first run from scrimmage by Tampa seeing Kiser fill downhill like he did was a thing of beauty. Hope he’s ok man, because if not we’re going to miss him. He’s really turned into a good ILB.

SF with two weeks of prep is very dangerous. McVay needs to stop the bleeding with Shanahan and put those guys down. It’s going to be hard and physical and they’re going to do all they can to trip us up and are still dangerous even with the injuries.

Rams HC Sean McVay said LB Micah Kiser (knee) “is banged up right now,” and he would be “very surprised” if Kiser plays Sunday against the 49ers.

Rams DC Brandon Staley on S Jordan Fuller’s performance against the Buccaneers: “His strength is in the deep part of the field, and I think that’s what you’re all seeing.” Steadiness, composure have stood out this season.

Sean McVay said he would be surprised if OLB Obo Okoronkwo is elevated to the 53-man roster this week. Okoronkwo was designated for return to practice earlier today and is currently in that 21-day window.

McVay also said he’s been pleased with Okoronkwo’s progress.

Rams DT Aaron Donald says they’re extra-motivated for this rematch with the Niners after their loss in Santa Clara: “There was a lot of little chatter after the game about certain things. They get to meet with us again, and we get to show them how we play.”

from Tyler Higbee (elbow) to be game-time decision for Rams vs. 49ers
    * https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2020/11/27/rams-injury-tyler-higbee-week-12-update/

Tyler Higbee could miss his second game of the season on Sunday after suffering an elbow injury against the Buccaneers. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing his status for Week 12 squarely into question.

    Rams Wire@TheRamsWire
Terrell Lewis’ status uncertain due to knee swelling, which required draining. The Rams are monitoring it, but McVay said it’s the same knee he’s had issues in before.

    Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
Tyler Higbee is questionable for Sunday’s game, while Terrell Lewis is listed as doubtful
