Can Goff go into Atlanta, Vikings… in a playoff game and win???

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
yes I believe he can go anywhere with a good team around him and win. Absolutely

What’s your take on Goff not playing the last two games? He should’ve played against the Raiders! Carr, Flaco have had some downs. No Goff?

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
There’s no way I would have played him against #Raiders – or any starter – given #Rams open with them in a few weeks. Also, he got tons of snaps against #Ravens 1st team defense during joint practices so no need to play him one series in that game

    Ryan Corbin@RyanCorbin240
How did he look against the Ravens ones?

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
    Excellent

McVay reiterated that he plans to play most starters Saturday but could hold out veterans such as Whitworth and Sullivan. So, that’s probably a couple rookies holding up Jared Goff..

One reveal today…Dominique Easley is working at OLB, and Matt Longacre returned to practice today. So add them to the list with Ejuan Price, Ryan Davis, etc. Spot opposite Samson Ebukam remains wide open.

The Rams won’t sign Junior Galette. Sean McVay: “It just didn’t work out, for reasons that we will keep inside.” Galette never had a workout. Took a physical and it was fine.

Along with DL Dom Easley, HC Sean McVay said LB Mark Barron also returned to practice on Monday. McVay said goal for Barron is to have him play in Week 1, so don’t expect any preseason action for him

ESPNLosAngeles@ESPNLosAngeles– Interviewed NFL Network’s Steve Wyche:

    – @wyche89 on what a successful season is for the Rams
“I think the pieces are in place for them to really make a deeper run & I think again that’s what a successful season is when you go out & spend $14 million dollars on a 1-year deal for Ndamukong Suh….”and you make a trade for Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters…those aren’t moves made for patience…those are moves made to win now.”.”

    – @wyche89 on what to expect from Sean McVay
“I think now you’re going to see him [Sean McVay] grow more as an overall team leader & talking to people about how he handles players or how he handles the organization, how we really get everyone going.” …”I think you’re going to see more of that while at the same time…the stylistics are not going to diminish.”

    – @wyche89 on Rams’ defense with Donald
“We keep overlooking a really good player on that defense and that is Michael Brockers and you put Brockers and Suh and Donald on that defensive line…I don’t know who is going to run against them.”

    – @wyche89 on Aaron Donald
“I don’t see him coming in without a new contract but from folks I’ve spoken to there definitely seems like there’s some optimism that something will get done. For him to actually get in some practices before Week 1.”

    NO OFFENSE

Rams nose tackle Ndamukong Suh raised some eyebrows over the weekend when he took to social media to respond to a video. The clip showed Carolina running back Christian McCaffrey’s 71-yard touchdown run against the Miami Dolphins, and Suh commented with, “Right up the Gut lol.”

The Dolphins released Suh in March.

“I really made an observation that a blind man could see,” Suh said with a grin. “There’s no hard feelings there, if that’s what you’re getting at. I’ve got a great relationship with Mr. Ross [Dolphins majority owner Stephen Ross] and actually spoke to him a couple days ago.”

    INJURY REPORT
McVay said tight end Gerald Everett (shoulder), receiver Josh Reynolds (ankle) and running back Justin Davis (hamstring) are “making progress.” McVay said it would be “ideal” if all three could play in the Aug. 30 preseason finale at New Orleans, but that has yet to be determined.
