Third day of free agency and the only team not to sign a free agent who would qualify for compensatory picks is … the RamsMarch 16, 2019 at 11:43 am #98996znModeratorwhat was the funniest trash talk you ever heard on the field that actually made you laugh (on your team or from an opponent?)
Geoff Schwartz@geoffschwartz
We were getting ready for a field goal. As we got down into our stances, a DT shouted to one of the lineman who had a bad grill … “yo player X, you know we got a dental plan in the NFL”. So simple. So corny. We were all laughing as the ball was snapped.March 16, 2019 at 3:45 pm #99005znModeratorGregg Rosenthal@greggrosenthal

Tannehill is a good example not to assume development from every QB. Was promising for a rookie, only topped that QBR once in next 5 years.Downtown Rams@DowntownRams
According PFF – Linebackers that played at least 900 snaps last year and had the fewest missed tackles:
1.Avery Williamson – 2
T-2.Mason Foster – 3
T-2.Jaylon Smith – 3
T-4.Danny Trevathan – 4
T-4.Darius Leonard – 4
6.Cory Littleton – 6
T-7.Van Noy, Warner & Alonso – 7March 16, 2019 at 6:25 pm #99009znModeratorToday is a slow one in tweet city.
Um…the Saints center, Unger, retired.
That’s momentous, right? Big news?
Enh. I’ll try again later.

Yeah. Unger is a coward. He was afraid of Robey-Coleman.

John Johnson III ranked 14th in Coverage, 28th in Tackling, & T-50th in Defensive grades among all defenders in the same time spanIt would appear somewhat likely that he would take over Lamarcus Joyner’s former FS duties & Weddle would be brought in as SS
#Rams newest addition Eric Weddle certainly still has promise heading into his 13th season next year
Among safeties in 2018, both in the regular & postseason, @weddlesbeard ranked 3rd in Rush Defense Grades & T-9th in Tackling Grades (min. 262 snaps)
March 17, 2019 at 3:51 am #99017AgamemnonParticipantMichael Brockers led the #Rams in Run Stop % last year with 9.4%. Moving him to the line means he would line up near Aaron Donald who was 2nd on the Rams with 9.2%
Both Brockers (T-43rd) & AD (T-50th) were Top 50 Defenders in Run Stopping Efficiency last year (min 96 run plays) https://t.co/DueT6O0wqy

March 17, 2019 at 8:40 am #99020znModerator"FEET BEFORE HANDS". Watch the RT. Whenever the hands reach or punch before the feet slide on an inside move … you're vulnerable. Howard Mudd once said "Pass blocking is mostly feet, the hands get in the way". https://t.co/vP7TdJENwZ pic.twitter.com/Wpp1N7hcN4

Yeah I’m not so sure I buy the idea that they will do that–ie. put Weddle at SS and Johnson at FS.
March 17, 2019 at 4:48 pm #99030HramParticipantMight actually be the opposite. Plus they could flip roles to disguise coverages.

In Dante Fowler Jr.’s short time with the #Rams last season, he posted 16 total hurries in Weeks 9-17, putting him in the Top 50 among front 7 defenders during that same time span (min. 118 snaps)March 17, 2019 at 9:24 pm #99041znModeratorTodd Gurley has been consistent with his yards after contact per attempt averages throughout his career pic.twitter.com/znuKTLCpst

Notice the lowest year was 2016. You know the Rams rate for getting the RB stuffed was pretty much the same three years in a row–2015, 2016, 2017. But he did better in 2015 and 2017 because he got more yards on his own after contact. That’s one of things that says there was something wrong with Gurley himself in 2016. Lots of things went wrong that year but Gurley not being himself was one of the things that went wrong.

Former #Rams QB Luis Perez leads #Birmingham past #Fleet after throwing for 359 YDs and 3 TDs. Perez came into this game as the backup to Keith Price who left the game early with an injury. Price was benched the rest of the way in a coaches decision.==
