There’s a lack of depth at OL in the NFL. So no surprise OLs struggle in the AAF.Rams Fans United@RamsFansUnited
If i’m keeping score correctly, this [hiring Zac Robinson] means we’ll have one more coach on offense than we did last year…Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
Still waiting for it to all shake out, but there was no official assistant QB coach last year so it’s looking that way.The #Rams will make these changes official at a later date, but Robinson will work alongside Shane Waldron as the assistant QB coach. Waldron is the QB coach (link: https://twitter.com/VinnyBonsignore/status/1099399284280123392) twitter.com/VinnyBonsignor…
Robinson brings a pretty unique background to the new gig – having played QB in college and the #NFL and being an analyst for Pro Football Focus and a QB consultant. Sean McVay certainly likes to think outside the box
Also, With Shane Waldron interviewing with the #Bengals in January for their head coach opening, he’s definitely a coach on NFL radars as a potential head coach or offensive coordinator. Not a bad idea to already start grooming an eventual replacement.

Jared Goff, multiple times, has spoken of the value of working with someone who played quarterback. Robinson did, so he will partner with Waldron and Fisch (and McVay, of course) on Team Goff.==

#Cardinals edge rusher Markus Golden is likely to hit the market, per source. Arizona loves the edge rushers in this draft class and is already paying Chandler Jones.Golden, 27, notched 12.5 sacks in 2016 but injuries over the last two seasons have limited him.

Feel like he kinda just coasted throughout the regular season then turned it up in the postseason 🤷🏼♂️February 24, 2019 at 12:06 pm #98260AgamemnonParticipantFebruary 24, 2019 at 1:08 pm #98261znModeratorI let Suh walk. I will take the comp draft choice and I like spending less Cap dollars.
I suppose for them it depends on what they think they have at NT and/or can get in the draft or cheaper free agency.

I don’t trust Suh. I don’t trust Peters. But, whatever.

Well for the record…me neither.
In fact this group is not all that experienced at team-building.
You would think Wade might temper that a bit but in fact he has no history of shrewd team-building himself.
All IMO of course.

i wonder though how you replace a nose tackle, a cornerback, and a safety in one off-season.
i hope whit and saffold come back.
whattya think about fowler? i’d let him go somewhere else. rather sign a guy like anthony barr.
February 24, 2019 at 5:08 pm #98265HramParticipantSign fowler if the price is competitive .
Let Suh walk and sign brockers and put them in those tackle.
Sign Fowler or some other edge rusher .
Keep peters this year and let him walk after.
Extend talib with the intent he moves to safety when it becomes appropriate.
Sign shields with the believe that his second and third your back will be even better than this first. Probably sign hill as the third or fourth quarter back depending on price.

Right, don’t overpay for Fowler.
Brockers is signed.
Peters and Fowler are signed.
Shields should be cheap.
Lot of defensive players is this draft.February 24, 2019 at 6:27 pm #98267AgamemnonParticipantI don’t trust Suh. I don’t trust Peters. But, whatever.

FMIA: The Combine Names to Know and How NFL Might Handle Kraft
*** I think the Rams are praying left tackle Andrew Whitworth comes back for one more season (at $10.7 million in the last year of his three-year free-agent contract). For now, the 37-year-old Whitworth plans to meet with the team post-combine to discuss his future. The team could really use one more year of excellent play and offensive-line stability out of him. If free-agent left guard Rodger Saffold leaves for a payday, the Rams would certainly want the stability of Whitworth on the left side of the line, perhaps moving 2018 third-rounder Joseph Noteboom into Saffold’s spot if Whitworth stays. But if Whitworth goes, the pressure could be on Noteboom, a three-year left-tackle starter at TCU, to slide into Whitworth’s spot.
*** I think, speaking of intriguing Rams free agents, I expect Ndamukong Suh and safety Lamarcus Joyner to sign elsewhere, and pass-rusher Dante Fowler Jr., could also go. And if Saffold, Suh, Joyner and perhaps Fowler sign for big money collectively and the Rams don’t venture into free agency much, they could have a replay of this year’s Compensatory Pick load. L.A., as I showed earlier, got two third-round comp-picks by letting Trumaine Johnson and Sammy Watkins walk, and those two players were major disappointments with the Jets and Chiefs, respectively. Of the four potential defectors, Fowler is probably the player whose loss would be felt most in 2019, because the Rams just don’t have an edge presence on their roster after Fowler.

no they really don’t.
the smart way would be to go defense. i think even inside linebacker wouldn’t be a bad idea.
