Rams Cornerback Troy Hill Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI
Rams Cornerback Troy Hill Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Rams cornerback Troy Hill was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of DUI, authorities said.
Hill, 25, was arrested after a collision on the WB 101 Freeway near the Haskell Ave. exit, just west of the 405 Freeway interchange.
Hill’s Mercedes rear-ended a big rig, police said.
A California Highway Patrol officer arrived shortly before 8 a.m. He observed that Hill was possibly intoxicated and conducted a field sobriety test.
The officer determined Hill was under the influence, the CHP said.
Hill told officers he was on his way to practice.
He was arrested and booked at the LAPD’s Van Nuys station.
Hill was released at 1:35 p.m. on $15,000 bail and ordered to appear in a Van Nuys courtroom on Dec. 14, according to inmate records.
The Rams could not immediately be reached for comment.
The team hosts the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The truck driver was not injured.

He is that.
Wonder if he gets cut? Fisher really has to stick to “no more 7-9 bullshit” comment and in my mind this fits that bill.
The guy was comin on…then decides to drive to work drunk…I just don’t get it.

Fisher cut a guy for having a girl in his dorm room. Hard to see how he can let this slide as this is much more egregious.
On the other hand the guy he cut wasn’t going to make the team anyway. Troy Hill has struggled but he plays a lot and they drafted him with the expectation of becoming a quality starter eventually. It will be interesting to see what Fisher does.November 19, 2016 at 8:52 pm #59018sanbaggerParticipantAre you kidding me? Still under the influence on the way to practice?

Hill wasn’t drafted by the Rams…He was an UFA signed off waivers by the Patriots.
I thought he was really showing up with the more PT he was getting.

November 20, 2016 at 12:43 am #59024— X —ParticipantSTATEMENT FROM LOS ANGELES RAMS ON CB TROY HILL
Los Angeles – We are aware of the incident involving CB Troy Hill that occurred Saturday morning. As it is an ongoing legal matter and we are still gathering information, we will have no further comment at this time.
Troy Hill will be inactive for tomorrow’s game versus the Miami Dolphins.

Apparently he had more than a few the night before if his BAC was still above the limit at 8:00 a.m. Of course that also depends on when he stopped drinking the night before too. Shame. I’m willing to bet he thought he was fine the next morning – meaning, not *feeling* buzzed anymore.
I got clipped for a DUI once – over 20 years ago while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. I was the only car on the road and only drove about a half mile to a store to pick up more supplies for a gathering. And only got pulled over because I rolled through a stop sign leaving the store. That was awesome. But that’s not the story. I had to go to an 8-hour DUI class in order to get my license reinstated. In this class, the instructor actually made everyone breathe into a breathalizer before he began and said he was going to kick out anyone who topped the legal limit. Two people did. Not because they were drinking that morning, but because they were drinking the night before. Both protested vehemently that they were sober, but that became the first lesson of the class. Feeling sober and being sober are two different things.
You have to be odd, to be number one.

This is as healthy as they’ve been in a decade and it’s still the worst offense in the NFL. I’m hoping Goff can pull off a miracle save and pull this team together.
November 20, 2016 at 10:21 am #59036znModeratorI think Fisher has lost this team,
That wouldn’t explain their top play on defense.
We’ve seen it when a Rams coach loses a team (Linehan) and we know what it looks like, and I don’t think that’s what we’re seeing.
And it’s not the worst offense in the NFL. It only looks that way if you factor the numbers from the first 2 games into the average. But they improved after the first 2 games, and that’s even accounting for the recent slump. A much more realistic picture takes the 1st 2 games out of the average. When you do that, they’re ranked 22nd. That’s not where we want them to be, but it’s not last.

I wouldn’t expect it to look like when Linehan lost his team or anyone else it’s a different set of circumstances. To me when Hill plays lights out ball against the Jets , outplaying Gaines and then decides to drive to practice drunk it signals somethings wrong with the team.
I’m not sure if you’re joking about the offense or serious? Why on Earth would you leave 2 games out of an average? If we just count the Tampa game we’re averaging 37 points a game GSOT territory. Of course if you just use the last 3 games , a much more accurate measurement of the current state of the team they are averaging under 10 points a game.November 22, 2016 at 1:58 am #59192znModeratorTROY HILL UPDATE
Involved in an off-the-field incident over the weekend, cornerback Troy Hill was deactivated for Sunday’s game. Fisher provided an update on Hill’s status with the team on Monday.
“I’m still in the process of trying to gather more facts from law enforcement — haven’t got a copy of the police report and all that,” Fisher said. “So, when we got the information Saturday morning, decided to deactivate him — told him not to come to the facility nor to the game. So, I spoke with him briefly today. I’m very, very disappointed in him, disappointed in his choices. But waiting to get the results from law enforcement before we make a decision.”
