They're taking Wentz: The Dani Klupenger Theory

Okay–maybe I’ve lost my mind but watch these two interviews with Dani Klupenger–one with Goff–one with Wentz when they visited the Rams.

She’s very happy and bright eyed and almost ecstatic with Wentz. Scenes are shown of Wentz walking around with Fisher–meeting people–shaking Tru’s hand.

Then on Goff’s interview she seems to be going through the motion. The smile is forced. No scenes with Fisher. Looks like Goff got the B tour.

So…judge for yourself. Maybe I’ve just had too much time to think about this but here ya go:

i will say this. goff didn’t seem very engaged in the interview. like he already knew he wasn’t the pick…

Great catch! I thought the words didn’t quite match their lips. I still believe the answer lies somewhere in my Lindy’s Draft Guide. Right now I’m circling every third word in the Rams preview section.

At the very beginning of the interview Wentz makes a faux pas that removes any and all doubt that he will be the pick. Dani says “Welcome to California” and Wentz replies, “It’s gonna be good…I’m happy to be here, happy to be here.” He was clearly about to say “It’s gonna be good to be here…” implying that the deal was already done and he was going to be a Ram.

Plus there’s the part where he let’s it slip that he’s been assigned John Hadl’s old locker in the Coliseum’s locker room.

It says “The Higgs Boson is awesome but it’s NOT responsible for most of your mass.”

Not sure what that means, but it seems to lean toward the heavier of the 2 qbs.

Never in my years of watching football have I seen such foolishness.
Going back to the early seventies, draft gurus have been trying
to discern who is capable of playing in the NFL, but to
give into this nonsense is a fool’s errand. When
you try and predict NFL success based on college performance, toss
up your hands and throw darts or flip coins. Past success
never seems to align with future football performance. Try
going to a Vegas casino and betting on the roll of the dice, or
to a carnival and attempt to throw the ball in the fish bowl.
Let me be the first to say I have tried, and I am sure all of
you have tried as well, to “scout” whether a player’s stock is up or
down, but I am telling you right now its all a waste of time.
