This stat was a Rams issue for years, with only one exception (2019). Every other year they were mediocre or a cut below avg. Forget 2022, they started out uncharacteristically not ready for the season and then added the “injuries from hell” problem on top of that. (Though for the record in 22 they ranked 14th).

On this stat, even in 2021 they ranked 16th.

Here are all the prior years back to 2017:

    2020 19th
    2019 6th
    2018 18th
    2017 17th.

I wonder if the Rams have “gone away from tendencies.” What with the different approach to the running game on offense, I am curious if their early success is “real,” or if defenses will catch up with the Rams once there is more film on the season.

i hear ya.  do other teams start to figure this offense out?  and i think defenses have underestimated this offense as well.  but i also wonder what this offense will look like when kupp comes back.

kupp and nacua.  and then atwell came out of nowhere.  i mean i know the camp reports were good coming out.  but i did not expect atwell to be performing like he has.

i’m guessing by the eighth game we’ll have a sense of what this offense is really capable of.
