A quick look at 2016. A quick easy way to figure 2016, is to take the 34 million cap space and figure how many of our 12 FAs we can sign. Don’t worry about number of contracts, rookie draft picks, RFAs, cuts, restructures, or that the cap will probably be 155 million, it all can boil down to 12 FAs and ~34 million. Which is close enough for now.

I am just showing that the Rams are in good shape with the salary cap in 2016

    Quick, Brian
    Barnes, Tim
    HAYES, WILLIAM
    Sims, Eugene
    Fairley, Nick
    Mark Barron
    McLeod, Rodney
    Johnson, Trumaine
    Jenkins, Janoris
    Zuerlein, Greg
    Givens, Chris
    Pead, Isaiah

Plus as they did with Foles, they can park some of the contract in the following year. That is, it’s not just 2016. So Foles’s extension takes 4+ M out of the 2015 cap, but then 8.7+ M out of the 2016 cap (and then 13.2+ M out of 2017). Assuming the cap in 2017 is 155 M, right now they have 68+ M in 2017 cap space to help sign their own free agents. Of course that number will go down when they sign both 2016 and 2017 draft picks.

BTW, how much 2015 cap space do they have after cutting Davis and Dunbar? That’s another couple M, right?

That information is in the initial post under cap totals, 3.297.323. They seem to include all the latest moves and like they said, it is for a 53 man roster.
