They were good. After ranking 32nd as a unit in 2023.

Evans made a strong case as an All-Pro punter and even received some votes after a phenomenal season. He led the NFL in percentage of punts downed inside the 10- and 20-yard line, also ranking second in punts inside the 5.

He improved his punt hangtime and got better at directional punting to pin the returner near the sideline, giving him less space to work with. There weren’t many punters in the NFL better than Evans this season.
