Foles was pretty good with longball accuracy in 2013, and not so much in 2014.

One popular myth I see a lot is that the Rams didn’t throw downfield. It’s inaccurate.

According to PFF, in 2012, his last full season, Bradford was 7th in the league in attempts of 20 yards or more.

Actually if you combine Hill and Davis as one composite Dill/Havis qb, that entity was 9th in the league in 2014 in attempts of 20 yards or more.

What is shocking is that looking at just 2014, BOTH Hill and Davis had a higher accuracy percentage on attempts of 20 yards or more than Foles did.

    That’s true.

Accuracy percentage is the far right hand column. Missing from this view: 1st, Ryan (56.5%); 2nd, Fitzpatrick (52.6%).

I think there’s a “willingness” for Foles to take chances downfield….that will bode more us in bigger plays cuz I like our 2 tall WRs (Britt&Quick) for those jump balls. Foles did demonstrate that against the Rams last year and we should picked him off 3-4 times in that game. imo

To be honest, I was NOT impressed by Foles and thought he panicked against us last year and threw up some punts. I think he has that tendency, at times when the play falls apart…but he can also move/slip the pass rush and make plays too. I just hope the good outweighs the bad enough for us to win the game. I’m all for risk from my QB – that’s why I like Connor Cook, he’s fearless which is good…and can lose game like Farvre could. However, overall, I think I like that aggressive style of QB play. That’s why I like that aspect of Foles…and of Cook coming out next year tho we won’t be in position to draft probably.
