SF’s all-pro LT Trent Williams was on crutches after
the packer game, with an ankle issue.

Deebo had some sorta ankle injury as well.

Deebo hopped off the field on one foot. I’m hoping for a high ankle sprain. Nothing serious. Nothing that he won’t recover from in 5 or 6 weeks.

Kittle also toddled off gingerly, but that looked like a fairly routine owie.

    Good job.

It’s all completely new. Lots of new additions.

Yeah. Well, it’s really great all these changes going on here, and all, and nobody consulted us because this isn’t an anarcho-syndicalist commune, or anything.

Just a bunch of dictatorial changes perpetuating the social and economic differences in our society.

But…I thought that was obviously the point!

What happened is that we lost the advanced editing features and RM had to get them back. He then added some new features.

For your sake, we included a new editing feature called “protest.” I think when you hit it, it plays some classic Woody Guthrie songs.

It goes without saying that the Rams can’t turn over the football against the Niners. They can’t. And, at the same time, they need to cause the Niners to turn the ball over. The Rams’ D obviously has the personnel for that.

Too many people are calling the Niners the Team of Destiny, and that kind of fiction can take hold of a squad and spur them on. The Rams can not play into those fictions.

Shocking turnover by Kupp. I don’t worry about him for Sunday. But they need to work with Akers all this week. Have him walk everywhere with the football, morning, noon, and night, etc.

Observation from the last game, and the season overall. I think Jefferson is the best #3 in football, and he needs to be used more. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough footballs to go around. And, while it’s not likely the Rams can afford to keep OBJ and Miller, if I have to choose between the two, I go with OBJ. He’s been exceptionally good, and will give the Rams easily the best top four receivers of any team.

Stafford needs to play next Sunday like he’s played the last two weekends. That’s the guy they hope they had traded for.

One regret from the weekend: I didn’t watch the other games, and it sounds like this may have been the greatest playoff weekend in NFL history.

This is a thread for the next game, not the last game, but I have to say something.

The Rams’ D played fantastic yesterday. If it weren’t for 3 terrible TOs that gave the Bucs very short fields, the final score would have reflected the Rams’ complete dominance yesterday. They beat the crap out of the Bucs. And they were destined to do that with the Bucs’ offense so depleted. It was a mismatch on that side of the ball.

Looking forward to next week – yeah – the Rams can’t do that again. They almost couldn’t get away with it Sunday.

I like the Rams’ chances to beat SF, for reasons I’ve already given, but if they turn the ball over like that, they won’t survive. They aren’t going to dominate SF. It will be a nerve-wracking game, probably.

I checked the injury report this morning, and Kittle is not on it. Deebo is listed as Questionable. Mohammed Sanu is listed as “Expected to return Week 21.” OTOH the Rams have SJD, Jones, and Rochell on the “Expected to return” list. So it looks like both teams are approximately full strength for this time of year.

Agree, Zooey. They did play really good football. Short fields and all.

SF has beaten the Rams in LA, the Cowboys in Dallas, and the Pack in Green Bay.

They’ve owned McVay.  Six in a row for Shannahan.

Dee-Bo could beat Chuck Norris with one ankle in a cast.

I see a pick6 coming in the first half.  Live by the gunslinger,

die by the gunslinger.  Or somethin.

CBS site says “Questionable.” But it says that for Deebo, too.

If I had to choose, I’d take a healthy Whitworth over a healthy Deebo. TBH.

Boy, this is going to be an intense game.

I think you should watch this one live, wv.

Will Stafford, again, have to use a silent count in his home stadium?

I am 10-10 on the games so far, the only time in my life I ever have been. I don’t keep track of this statistic, but I doubt I really ever get much about 50%.

I have a Rams-Bengals Super Bowl. Which may be the least interesting matchup for the masses nationwide, but that isn’t my responsibility.

Equal in turnovers and I believe the Rams will win.  They just can’t lose the turnover battle.

Anybody know when teams have to say who is playing?

I saw somewhere that Whitworth is likely to go, and Jones, but none of the others.

Noteboom is apparently questionable, too, with a pec injury.

i will say this.  in a way, what happened last sunday could have been a blessing.

they blow what a 21 point lead?  bad snap.  four fumbles.  missed fg.  you have tom brady breathing down your neck.  it almost seems inevitable that the bucs win.  and then matthew stafford has a last gasp 42 second drive to clinch the game?

could do wonders for their confidence.  that they can overcome all of that and still beat one of the all time winners this league has seen.

    i’m still nervous though.

I think they benefited from gagging up the lead in Week 18 to the 49ers.  I think they learned a solid appreciation for playing the full 60 minutes, and that helped them the past two weeks, too.

Should they lose to the 49ers, I will be unhappy.

I am fully on board for a Lombardi this year in a way I have not been in a long, long time. And what’s weird is that, if you had asked me 4 weeks ago, I would have thought winning two playoff games was about the high expectation.

Not any more. Minus the uncharacteristic flurry of unforced errors in the 4th quarter, the Rams have played dominantly in all phases of the game, and I think they are the most talented team left in the playoffs.

    With health, too.

Cam Akers, despite the two fumbles Sunday, has made a difference. Ernest Jones should make a difference as well. The Rams have done okay in those departments without those two guys, but like you said, peaking. Peaking is good.

I would say the 49ers did the rams a big favor by beating the Packers

    in Lambeau.

I think it unlikely the Rams would have won there.

Would be nice to take the 49ers souls

    in gratitude.

Ernest Jones should make a difference as well.

Earnest Jones likely wouldn’t miss that tackle on Fournette like Reeder did on that 4th and 1.

Game over right there if the unblocked Reeder makes that tackle.  I’m not picking on him because I think he played well overall, and he made that right read and was able to shoot the gap untouched – but ugh- ya gotta make that tackle.

Yeah, it’s far more likely that the Rams will beat SF at home than it would have been for them to beat GB on the road, with a high of 23 degrees.

SF radio was relishing the upcoming game last night as I drove home. They think they are going to pulverize the Rams. They also refered to SoFi as Levi’s Stadium South. Lotta back-slapping self-congratulations going on.

The Niners defensive line dominated the Rams offensive line for most of the second half of their last game and seemingly for all of their first game on MNF. I don’t know how the Rams can possibly scheme for that. To win this game the Rams will need an extra possession or two, and a big contribution from special teams

    I’m not confident.

Well, they do have a point about Ram fans in la-la-land.

SoFi Stadium: Home of the Rams, The Chargers and The 49ers.

    Forget it Jake, its LA.
