No Rams injuries coming right out of the game yesterday. They’ll get more info with players in the building today.

The Rams have two games in five days starting Sunday, including a road trip. Both against playoff contenders in the Lions and Seahawks.

Gotta be as fresh as possible heading into that defining stretch.

Maybe and overreaction on my part, but I’m going to guess that this spells the end of Tutu’s season. Xavier Smith isn’t exactly lighting the world of fire as a receiver, but he’s playing well enough and he brings an element of speed to the group. Plus, he is trustworthy in the return game, something that Atwell doesn’t seem to have the same knack for, or whatever.

Plus, he is trustworthy in the return game, something that Atwell doesn’t seem to have the same knack for, or whatever.

Basically that means they need to have active the skill players who can contribute on special teams, which includes not only Smith but Mumpfield, Whittington, and Rivers. It also includes 3 of the TEs, minus Parkinson.

With the 4 TEs on the active roster, which is unusual, and then all the DBs they have to activate, that means that they have to count on those offensive skill players to double up on both O and STs.

That squeezes Atwell out, since he plays no role on STs either as a returner or in coverage or as a blocker on any STs unit.

(Rams 48) vs #2 (Lions 47) in offensive TDs scored. Are we looking at another record setting contest ala Rams 54-Chiefs 51 back in 2018? If it happens Goff would have played in both, winning one and losing one. 😎 😉

I trust our defense more than I fear theirs. But who knows?

    Rams D #13 in yards allowed (315 y/g), Detroit #15 (323.9 y/g).
    Rams D #3 in points allowed (17.5 /g), Lions #18 (23.4 / g).
    Rams D #11 vs the run in yds (103.5 y/g, 3.9 avg, 4 TDs allowed), Lions #10 in yds (102.7 y/g, 3.9 avg., 9 TDs allowed).
    Rams D #15 vs the pass (211.5 y/g, 18 TDs allowed, 13 Int, 36 sacks), Lions #19 vs the pass (221.2 y/g, 26 TDs allowed, 11 Int, 37 sacks).

    Rams O #4 in yards (373.2 y/g), Lions #3 in Yards (378.7 y/g)
    Rams O #4 in points (29.2 / g), Lions #1 in points (30.3 / g)
    Rams O #3 in passing (249.2 y/g, 35 TDs, 4 Int), Lions #5 (242.8 y/g, 27 TDs, 5 Int)
    Ram O #10 in rushing (123.9 y/g, 13 TD), Lions #5 in rushing (135.8 y/g, 20 TD)

    Rams +10 (21 takeaways, 11 turnovers), Detroit +8 (16 takeaways, 8 turnovers).

This should be an entertaining game. Can’t wait!!!!

Rams are 5.5 point favorites against Detroit.

Seattle is a 13.5 point favorite over the Colts.

I see that the Rams have opened up a roster spot by waiving Nick Hampton. So, perhaps Tutu will return after all.

Rams are 2-2 vs Lions in their last 4 meetings….

In those 4 games, Goff is 3 – 1 vs Stafford.

12/2/18 Goff and the Rams beat Stafford and the Lions 30-16 coached by the Belichick DC protege Matt Patricia

10/24/21 Stafford and the Rams beat Goff’s Lions 28 – 19 ( I was at this game, Coach Campbell used all his tricks in this match up…. successful OSK and fake punt made this game close… but Jalen Ramsy picked off Goff in the endzone in the final minutes of the game to seal a Rams victory…)

1/14/2024 Goff’s Lions beat Stafford’s Rams 24-23 in the brutal Playoff game where Higby lost his knee on a dirty hit by Kerby Joseph…. this Kerby Joseph bastard plays this week after being on IR since Mid October…

9/8/24 Goff’s Lions beat Stafford’s Rams in OT… Rams had this game, but Copper Kupp couldn’t convert on a crucial 3rd down pass play late in the 4th qtr that forced a punt that resulted in a Lions game tying field goal to send the game into OT….

These games have been very close. I think the Rams blow em out this time.

Seattle picked a fine time to play the Colts. Bastards.

Well, it really comes down to Thursday. If the Rams win that game, it’s done.

Wright is crazy in that. He said that if Stafford had stayed the Lions could have won a super bowl by now. The Lions got a lot out of that trade, not just Goff. It wasn’t only hiring Campbell…they had a lot of talent on the field in 2023 and 2024.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. It wasn’t a Goff for Stafford trade.

Well, I solved my problem permanently. About a month ago, I signed up for a streaming service that has everything, and costs $49/month. I get every television station in the US, and all the cable/satellite channels, and all the premium channels. But not the subscription sports packages or pay-per-view stuff (I don’t think).

In any event, I just put the LA tv stations in my Favorites folder, and I watch the games that way. The resolution on the Panthers game wasn’t great, so during the commercial break, I looked at the broadcast map, picked a Little Rock station, and watched it from there. So far, so good.

Jah-myr Gibbs has 1062 yards rushing and 474 yards receiving, so far. 5th in the NFL. He has not fumbled, btw.

    1. B.Robinson,
    2 J Taylor
    3 C. McCaffrey
    4 J Cook.
    5. J Gibbs
    6 Achane
    7 JSN
    8 Puka

    Kyren Williams is 14th.

The Rams have allowed only 2 rushing touchdowns to RBs this season. Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 3 touchdowns in his last game alone.

Fun matchup on the ground coming this Sunday.

Lions allow 3rd-highest rate of explosive passing plays

The Rams could find success attacking the Lions’ banged-up secondary this Sunday, a unit that has allowed the third-highest explosive pass rate in the NFL. And that was before losing Brian Branch to a torn Achilles last week.

On the flip side, Los Angeles allows explosive pass plays at the fifth-lowest rate of any team, doing an excellent job of preventing big plays through the air.

Rams have another big advantage. This is from my stats breakdown, above:

    Lions

    Defense

    RZ efficiency (TD only) 23rd

    Rams

    Defense

    RZ efficiency (TD only) 2nd

Nick Wright is an idiot to believe that Detroit would be SB Champs if the Stafford / Goff trade wasn’t made.

Well, Wright has always loved Stafford; I dont think he’s wrong in thinking that if Stafford had played with Dan Campbell, the Lions ‘might’ have won a ring.

I am picking the Rams to win a tie.

I think J.Gibbs will have 175 yards from scrimmage.

    Landman will force 2 fumbles.

    Rams 42
    Lions 42.

The Lions have allowed the 5th-most yards and 2nd-most TDs to WRs this season. No reason to believe the Rams shouldn’t be ready for a true shootout.

Not to mention — no Brian Branch or Kerby Joseph.

Sean McVay said everyone should be good to play in Sunday’s game. Davante Adams will be listed as questionable, but McVay would be “very surprised” if he doesn’t play.

Why is Alaric Jackson listed as DNP on Friday’s report?

To include their starting CB Terrion Arnold,

he was sent into the IR from the beginning of this month!!!

That’s three starting DBs missing on their backend!

Stafford should be firing on all cylinders

    Just to add,
    three of their OL, LT/Decker/shoulder, G/Awosaki/foot, & G/Mahogany/fibula,
are on the injured report with limited practice as of Friday.

G/Mahogany a starter, is coming off the IR in the 21-day window,
he is being limited, sounds like they are trying to rush him back,
because their OL is really not solid as of today!

The Rams have activated WR Tutu Atwell from injured reserve. He’ll make his return tomorrow against the Lions.

The Ram have also downgraded S Jaylen McCollough to questionable with an illness. That will be something to watch with Quentin Lake also out.
