Early on, @Seahawks not pretending to have a real running game. Setting up run with pass and zone read could be the strategy.December 3, 2017 at 9:37 pm #78292znModerator.

Carson Wentz could be seen wincing after getting blindsided by DE Frank Clark, who was offsides on the play. Physical first half.Brady Henderson

Easily the best first quarter of the season for the Seahawks’ offense, which has struggled out of the gates this season. Seattle scored 39 first-quarter points and averaged 60 yards over the first 11 games. Tonight: 10 points and 111 yards.Tim McManus

Eagles defense allows a TD in the first quarter for the first time all season. Questionable pass interference call on Ronald Darby sets up Russell Wilson to Jimmy Graham touchdown.December 3, 2017 at 9:59 pm #78295znModeratorBrady Henderson
ESPNAll things considered — such as being without Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor— the Seahawks couldn’t have asked for a much better first half from their defense, which has held Carson Wentz and the NFL’s highest-scoring offense to just a field goal and 37 passing yards. One stat that bodes well for the Seahawks: including playoffs, they’re 46-0 since 2012 when leading by four or more points at halftime.

ESPN Staff WriterThe Eagles, the top scoring team in football, were quieted in the first half by a Seahawks defense that showed up to this game looking for a fight. Carson Wentz was limited to just 3.5 yards per attempt. His top targets, Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz, have zero catches. Tough sledding early against a fired-up Seattle team.

Oh well I think if the Eagles lose and we can beat them next week it’s better for the Rams in the long run. Rams could end up being the 2nd seed in that scenario .

December 4, 2017 at 12:06 am #78306ZooeyModeratorYeah, I’m not happy about a Seahawks win at all. That makes the next two games that much bigger for the Rams. Jacksonville could make up for this, though, and an Eagles’ loss is a good thing, as ER points out.
December 4, 2017 at 12:30 pm #78339joemadParticipantthe Philly loss in Sea…. is huge.
Winning in Tenn will not be automatic…
and Jimmy G completed +70% of his passes yesterday in Chicago and looked very good, drove his team for a game winning drive to win the game.
Let’s hope that that last game vs SF isn’t meaningful to the Rams…..
Rams need to win 2 or 3 of the next 4.

I think there’s a very good chance the Rams will be a wildcard team

Is that supposed to be pessimistic, or optimistic?

Realistic.
Hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think the Rams will beat the Eagles or the Seahawks in Seattle.
But they should beat the Titans and 9ers to finish 11-5.
That probably means a wildcard spot.

You, sir, are full of poo poo.
Why do you think they will lose to the Eagles? The Eagles have beaten only two teams (Panthers 4-1 and Redskins 3-2) who had a winning record when they played them. Every other team was .500 or worse.
Could it be…the Eagles have played a soft schedule?
And the Rams completely outplayed the Seahawks, but for 5 turnovers. Which is a bit…fluky, you have to admit. And if Gurley’s fumble had not flicked the pylon, or Kupp had caught the pass on the final play of the game, the Rams would be solidly in first place right now.
They beat the Saints pretty solidly.
The team has quality in all three units: offense, defense, special teams. And they are well-coached. Everybody is on the same page. They are a team that is taking it “one game at a time.” No bravado. No despondency. They are better than the Seahawks. More consistent. Better.
As for the Eagles…we shall see.
But I (a true Rams fan) am not fearful of the future. I believe the Seahawks could very well lose in Jacksonville this coming Sunday, and the Rams can beat the Philadelphia Eagles at home.
Two games up. Three games to play.
That is where we will be one week from tonight.
Choose your weapon….
