Limmer brings center/guard flexibility and a wealth of starting experience in the challenging SEC. He has decent upper-body strength and good lower-body flexibility to provide leverage, but he could use additional mass on his frame. His clear eyes and accurate block entries give him early leads in the initial phase as a run blocker, and he maintains active feet to stay connected to his blocks over the first and second level. His tendency to lean and sit heavily on his feet has created problems mirroring rushers at both guard and center, and that is likely to continue for him as a pro. Limmer’s run blocking should create an NFL opportunity at center, but the pass protection must improve.
Strengths
- Gets into block fits with hip bend and inside hands.
- Runs feet through contact and keeps defender occupied through the rep.
- Good feel for blocking angles on first and second levels.
- Adjusts eyes and assignment quickly to post-snap movement.
- Shows ability to unlock hips/ankles and recover with a stout anchor.
- Processes pre-snap danger and post-snap twists smoothly.
Weaknesses
- Lacks ideal snap-to-step quickness.
- Movements tend to be a little mechanical on workup blocks.
- Needs to guard against leaning and pushing with upper body.
- Below-average posture and base width in his pass sets.
- Feet get heavy, impacting reactive quickness with his mirror.

Rams got insanely good value on him late in the 6th round. Four-year starter at Arkansas where he primarily played RG and then shifted to center. Immediate back-up for Steve Avila (and potentially Kevin Dotson)!April 27, 2024 at 7:05 pm #150544canadaramParticipantOURLADS
6.45 Limmer, Beaux| Arkansas| Tyler, TX| Proj. Rd: 4-5. Height: 6045| Weight: 302| 40: 5.22| Arms: 3178| Hand: 0912| Wingspan: 7778
Four-year starter. All SEC in 2022. Was a career right guard until shifting to centre in 2023 to replace Ricky Stromberg (third round pick by Washington). Limmer excelled in lone season as the leader in the middle. His game is built on power and strength. He creates tremendous push in the run game and can stop defenders in their tracks as a pass blocker. While he has some ugly losses on tape at both guard and centre stemming from poor positioning, this is a pure gamer who will compete hard. Does not abandon techniques and the massive amount of experience he has in the SEC with credible positional versatility will be a welcome project for an offensive line coach to work with. He will provide solid multi spot depth early on with the upside of a quality starter in a year or two. Violent heavy hands with capable foot speed. Takes the right angle to the second level. Creates push at both the first and second level. Quality drive blocker as a result of twitchy, active feet and aggressive mentality. Capable of anchoring and re-anchoring himself into the ground against the bull rush. We have stretches of inconsistent play. Should add weight considering the style he plays. Will get clunky with his feet post-snap. Not a fluid natural athlete when matched up against quicker interior pass rusher. Will show back flexion at times, needs to stay more upright with better knee bend.

Beaux Limmer OC/OL Arkansas
by Drew Boylhart • April 10, 2024
STRENGTHS
Beaux is exactly what his name suggests he is, a big, strong, powerful, offensive lineman with solid athletic talent. He can make all the snaps and has the lateral agility to help out his guards when needed. Beaux has the footspeed and agility to go out to the second level to make his blocks and finish his blocks. He shows leadership skills through his play on the field, and the athletic talent to play more than one position for the team that selects him on the offensive line.CONCERNS
Beaux is slow off the snap and gets up to high losing leverage and at the next level, no matter how strong you are, losing leverage will get you beat every time. Beaux may have to be moved to guard if he can’t improve these two issues quickly. That being said, I do believe that Beaux will wind up being a center at the next level.BOTTOM LINE: 3.25
The first Rep at the Senior Bowl practices, Sweat put Beaux right on his back and ran over his face to the fake quarterback. That never happened again. Beaux stuffed Sweat at the line in just about every rep after that all three days. Beaux learned a lesson that day…your strength is not enough at the next level as it was in most cases at the college level. Beaux has to get quicker, keep his pad level low, and learn to turn his hips and move his feet, and drive his block up the field when he does get beat to his inside. If Beaux can improve in those areas he can be a Pro Bowl center. If not, he gets moved to guard. Either way, Beaux should be an excellent offensive lineman for the team that selects him.- This reply was modified 6 months, 3 weeks ago by canadaram.

No. 217 (compensatory): Beaux Limmer, C, Arkansas
Dane Brugler’s analysis
Limmer must continue to fine-tune his leverage points and play with better overall control, but he has the functional athleticism and finishing demeanor to continue developing. He projects as an immediate backup (center and guard) with starting potential at center, ideally suited for a wide-zone scheme (similar to Jake Brendel).

ESPN’s Matt Miller has to grades hundreds of prospects in the draft every year, if not sometimes tipping the scales close to 1,000 names, so it’s notable that he was especially stunned that the Los Angeles Rams were able to draft offensive lineman Beaux Limmer in the sixth round. On Monday, Miller posted his best values and biggest reaches in a thread on Twitter and named Limmer alongside receiver Brenden Rice and quarterback Michael Pratt.

Beaux Limmer, OL, Arkansas
Grade: A
Limmer’s late-round availability was unexpected given his athleticism. His versatility in playing multiple positions on the line, combined with his impressive combine performance, makes him a valuable pick.
May 1, 2024 at 11:20 pm #150713znModeratorThe Rams got Beaux Limmer in the 6th round. He was projected to go early in the 4th. All he does is play his ass off.
As durable as they make them. Snaps at every interior OL position at Arkansas. Knows how to execute the duo/man scheme at a high-level. Great, great depth. pic.twitter.com/iSJlWepMyV

May 5, 2024 at 11:54 am #150757znModeratorfrom Senior Bowl director, Jim Nagy on Senior Bowl players in this this year’s Rams draft class
C/G Beaux Limmer (Round 6, Pick 217)- One of best value picks of draft. Inside swing depth upgrade should be fourth IOL behind Avila, Jackson, & Dotson. Mature, no nonsense dude with 41 college starts. Strong Senior Bowl week & elite Combine numbers (36.5 VJ, 39 bench reps). Head-scratcher he lasted til 6th.
May 17, 2024 at 6:39 pm #150956znModeratorLimmer’s 36.5-inch vertical was tied for second among all offensive linemen. He also showcased his strength with 39 reps on the bench press. That was seven more reps that any other offensive lineman and the most for any participant at any position. As The Athletic’s Dane Brugler noted in “The Beast”, Limmer was considered the strongest player on the team by teammates. According to his strength coach, he squatted 700-pounds last July and could have done more had they let him.
Somehow, despite a 9.8 Relative Athletic Score that athletically compared him to an all-pro player in Joe Thuney, Limmer continued to slide under the radar. And he didn’t just slide under the radar, he slid until the sixth round.
This was one of the more experienced interior offensive linemen in the draft who made 36 consecutive starts in the SEC. Limmer finished his career with 41 starts that included 28 at right guard, 12 at center, and one at left guard. For the Rams to be able to get a player of Limmer’s caliber and experience in the sixth-round is a steal and great value.
In his draft profile of Limmer, Brandon Thorn of the Trench Warfare substack and Bleacher Report said,
“Overall, Limmer is a very athletic, lean, nimble blocker with wiry strength who can strain to finish blocks. His extensive guard experience should at least help him cross-train across the interior as a swing backup in the NFL right away.”

Stu Jackson
https://www.therams.com/news/get-to-know-arkansas-ol-beaux-limmer-pick-217
The Rams used their ninth selection in the 2024 NFL Draft on Arkansas offensive lineman Beaux Limmer, who was chosen in the sixth round, 217th overall.
Here’s what you should know about him:
1) Feats of strength
In his school bio, Limmer was noted as of the strongest players on the team, “squatting 605 pounds and benching a team-best 445 pounds during the offseason.”
2) Durability and availability
Limmer started 41 games overall during his career with the Razorbacks, including the final 36 consecutively.
3) Snaps
Limmer last year led Arkansas for the second consecutive season in offensive snaps with 809.
4) Senior Bowl participant
The annual college all-star event in Mobile, Alabama has been a good resource for the Rams, and it counted Limmer among its participants this year.
Besides Limmer, it also featured Rams 2024 draftees Braden Fiske, Kamren Kinchens, Brennan Jackson, Tyler Davis and Joshua Karty.
5) Bench press beast
Limmer put up 39 reps of 225 bounds on the bench press at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine, five more than any other player.
July 8, 2024 at 1:51 pm #151363znModeratorStanding 6-foot-5 and weighing 312 pounds, Limmer is more athletic than many offensive linemen. But do not miss the fact that he is a circus strongman. He put up 39 reps of 225 pounds, which was more (5 more reps) than any other rookie prospect. That is very impressive for an offensive lineman.
Perhaps the most descriptive draft profile passage was found on NFL Draft Buzz:
“Ultimately, Limmers draft journey embodies the classic risk-reward scenario for teams in the market for interior linemen. His collegiate success and combine showings hint at a high ceiling, provided he can bulk up and polish the rough edges in his game. For the team that calls his name on draft day, investing in his development could unlock a linchpin player capable of anchoring their line for years to come.”
– NFL Draft BuzzSo why did he fall? Well, among the polished offensive linemen options, Limmer presented himself as a bit raw. After all, his pure power allowed him to dominate the competition he faced. But in the NFL, he will need to refine his technique, and is already on his way to doing so.
