I remember NOT wanting Mike Evans in the draft.
But it looks like he may be having a rookie of the year
    type year

“….And he plays it adeptly. The 6-5, 231-pounder has caught 49 balls for 841 yards and eight touchdowns by using his large frame, physical style and ability to adjust to the quarterback’s pass.
“He knows how to control his body to position himself,” quarterback Mike Glennon said. “There have been times where you feel like the ball didn’t come out perfect, and it’ll end up being exactly where you wanted it.”….

Sammy Watkins has done well, but he’s not been a factor in
    his last four games.

Overall he has 51 receptions for 695 yards.

Yeah, well, that kind of show-offy, garish “me me” stuff doesn’t impress. Not in comparison to the thoughtful, quiet, careful Brian Quick, who took time to fully grasp the game before going off on the so-called “production” routine.

Ya haf to wonder if Quick will be able
to come back at 100 percent after that weird
injury. I’m still not quite sold on Quick.
I dunno exactly what they have in Quick.
A lot of the passes he caught, he just
seemed wide open because of the scheme
and not because of any great route-running
on his part. And i still havent seen many
plays where he ‘outfought’ a DB for the ball.
    I dunno.

I’ve seen more actual skills from Stedman than i have
from Quick. And i trust Stedman’s hands more.

Still, I prefer Donald over Evans. I doubt Evans would have gotten half the sacks Donald has.

Knowing what you know now — with all options open, who would you pick at 2 and 13 ?

Evans had the one great game where he had 200+ yards. Inconsistency has been an issues. Right now Kelvin Benjamin has been consistent all year. But the guy I am afraid that will may win Offensive rookie of the Year, but does not deserve it is, Odell Beckham. He is having a decent rookie year, but he plays in New York, and had that one handed grab that people keep talking about.

I thought Evans had all the ability to be a great NFL WR, but I still wouldn’t have picked him No. 2 overall, nor instead of Donald. I will say, though, he’s better than I thought he’d be as a rookie.
