Bye weeks are better after a win. They won before the bye all 3 previous McVay years. Now much of the Rams net is debating these positions: should the Rams admit that Goff is a bust and just cut him, or fire McVay, or both?

I didn’t like the Miami loss but I don’t think it’s season defining. In fact I personally think they will bounce back from it after some sober self-analysis.

offense is worse than i thought it would be.

defense is better than i thought it would be.

special teams are a dumpster fire.

overall the rams are slightly worse than i thought they would be. i didn’t think they’d be capable of the huge brain fart they had to end the first half of the season. i mean what a disaster.

i still think goff is capable of being a top 10 qb. with this defense and this running game, i think goff is capable of leading this team.

i wonder how the second half of the season goes for this defense. they’re already ranked number one overall in total yards at this point. but i think they can get better. they can get better in run defense and better in the pass rush. when i think of the rams, i think mostly about robinson and lewis. and what kind of contributions they can make in the second half of the season. robinson especially. just loads of potential. loads of power and athleticism. the rams defense hasn’t really had anyone like him since possibly suh. but suh was near the end of his career. robinson is only 25 but has disappointed so far. was he playing the wrong system? is the system to unlock his talents? i’ll be curious to find out. but i also like lewis. he’s a rookie so expectations should be tempered. but at the same time, i could see him making a bigger impact as the season wears on.

The sky is not falling for me. But, McVay and Goff have to do better. The Miami game was abysmal and we don’t need to see that anymore. The defense is almost elite. Woohoo defense. I like the offense, the Oline and playmakers. There is a lot of suxing on Special Teams. Why do they refuse to bring in the Canadian, Lirim Hajrullahu. I like him. I am ready to get a new coach for Special Teams.

Well, they are on a pace, for what?, 10-6 ?

Thats kinda what they look like. A solid, good, team. But not a top-three-type-team. But they do have the potential to beat anyone, if all cylinders are firing.

Injuries and Covid are wildcards for every team. Its a surreal-pandemic-season.

They have a lot of tough NFC West games coming up. They need the Left Tackle to stay healthy.

RB’s are better than I expected

WR depth is still very good, if not the best in the division.

OLINE much better than last season

Not sure why McVay hasn’t had Goff roll out on more plays the past few games….

New DC has been good, especially in 2nd half of each game.

The punting team is fabulous. Johnny Hekker is fabulous.

Why they can’t find a mediocre placekicker is a unfathomable mystery. I mean…that bartender dude
was good enough. Not ideal. But…good enough.

Kicking is obviously a hell of a lot more difficult than it looks, but still. There aren’t 32 people in the country who can kick the ball? I woulda thought that Diego Maradona would be available. You know.

McVay is interesting. On the one hand, the guy is a certifiable genius. But his overall playcalling is questionable. He’s got a bit of Martz blood in him. He’s young, and he may not have “hit his ceiling,” but he isn’t the game day tactician that Bellichucker is. Though nobody else is, either, so…. But McVay still has some room to grow. I think he will, but right now, I’d say he cost us a win against Miami.

    The defense is also fabulous.

Like wv said…10-6, good enough for a game or two in January. I’ll take it.

I still think the Buffalo contest was a disgrace. Clearly, there was cheating.
I have my legal team on this.
A lot of illegal-points were tallied.
The Rams clearly won that game if only legal points were allowed, and illegal points were disallowed.
I’m asking all ram fans to stand by and be ready.
