I liked what i saw from the RB, Schrader. I’m not a believer in Corum. I will have to keep my eye on Schrader.

Stetson made one impressive throw, but other than that, I wasnt impressed. I mean, he did fine, but i still dont know why he’s on the team. I dont think he’s very good.

I thought the OLine was the actual story of the game. Played well.

Dallas did not look good in that game. I’m not sure why.

It’s only one game, but in my opinion, Bennett looked like a good NFL backup. It was his apparent confidence/decisiveness that does it for me. If he looks the same that for two more games then he makes his case to be a number two quarterback in this league. If they keep him on the team this year I think it gives them additional options for next year.

I dunno. I just dont see any top-notch physical tools. His release isnt lightning fast, he’s not particularly quick, his arm talent just looks average…. I dunno. I guess McVay knows what he’s doing. Hard for me to fathom that SB is the best they can find.

It seems pretty evident the Rams are trying to prevent the situation they had at the start of the 2024 season, when 2 OL were out before game 1 then 2 were injured in game 1. They are establishing OL depth. They picked up 3 bargain FAs, they are continuing the development of 2024 rookies who saw the field last last year, and they added a new batch of UDFAs.

Plus, no Noteboom, who was always just another injury waiting to happen.

In fact this year they added more veteran OL FAs before the season than they have the last few years (Shelton, Humphries, Quessenberry). They have a mess of 2024 rookies to develop and choose from (Arcuri, Dedich, Leveston, Limmer, McClendon, McMahon). A couple of those guys already did okay last year (like Dedich). They have 4 or 5 new rookie UDFAs from this year. They are using the pre-season to play all these guys, sorting it all out.

I even think they will be okay before Jackson comes back.

Last year’s disastrously slow start before the bye came from 2 things: the OL injuries, and a green as grass defense. It’s obvious they worked on the defense, but to me it’s just as obvious they worked on the OL.

I agree with all that, which imo, if he keeps up this better play, would make him a decent number two quarterback. What he displayed last weekend was better than many backups in the league.

I think Bennett is better than Jimmy G at this point. Jimmy G is horrible throwing deep ,has the arm strength but accuracy on deep routes is horrendous. OL Lampkin is a steal.
