Craig Auckerman arrived a couple weeks ago to help out Chase Blackburn on special teams. He and Blackburn devised the plan for Jordan Whittington’s increased contributions in that phase. Auckerman had previously worked with Blackburn and previously coached (!) Sean McVay.
You had a feeling that big special teams play was coming for Jordan Whittington. He looked like Danielle Hunter doing the flying sack jumping on that muffed punt. Huge play.

Not enough ppl recognize “time to throw” as not just being quick game play calls, but the ability to recognize coverage weaknesses, eliminate options that don’t have a chance & getting eyes on “read” defender quickly to simplify game & get ball out!
Maybe the most underrated aspect of playing QB is the ability to avoid sacks & “lost” yardage throughout a game!!
Tyler Higbees return last week brought great energy to the team! #89 ranks 9th all time in franchise receptions, which is 1st as a Tight End
Last season in the win over Arizona, Higbee caught 2 touchdown passes from Matthew Stafford. An added red zone threat for tomorrow pic.twitter.com/XW3YJBNgjx
PFF released its early list of the top 50 free agents of 2025 and Jackson is the only player from Los Angeles’ roster to make the cut. He came in at No. 46, with his top free-agent comparison being Jared Veldheer in 2014. PFF:
The former undrafted free agent out of Iowa has settled in quite nicely over the past few years protecting the blindside of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, with a career year across the board in 2024 coming at just the right time.
