Kyren Williams has topped 70 rushing yards 11 times this season. He’s just one of three players to reach that mark.

    Stafford9@LAR9MS
Matthew Stafford is now tied with Patrick Mahomes with 5 Game Winning Drives on the year.

That is 1st in the NFL.

    Now 4th All-Time.

    Rams special teams

It seems odd to be talking positively about the Rams special teams. However, the Rams special teams unit was a big reason for the win against the Jets. While Anders Carlson missed an extra point and a field goal, Joshua Karty made field goals from 38 and 45 yards in tough conditions.

Additionally, Ethan Evans had a punt downed inside the five and Jordan Whittington recovered a muffed punt to clinch the game. The Rams special teams unit played a key role in the Rams win for a second consecutive week which is not something that would have been said over the last few years.

Rams K Joshua Karty is one made field goal away from passing Greg Zuerlein for the 2nd-most made field goals by a rookie kicker in franchise history.

Karty is currently the most accurate rookie kicker (min. 10 att) in Rams franchise history. He’s made 82.1% of his field goals.

Rams 3rd down defense gets most pressure in NFL

    3rd and long
    1st in pressure rate
    17th in blitz rate

    Rams on 3rd on medium
    6th best pressure rate
    25th lowest blitz rate

    getting there with 4

Rams dime (and some nickel) is very effective.

QB Matthew Stafford recorded his 38th career fourth-quarter comeback yesterday vs. the New York Jets and tied Matt Ryan for the fourth-most in NFL history.

since the league moved to a 16-game schedule in 1978, only 11 (6.5%) of 168 teams that started the year at 1-4 made the playoffs – the 2024 rams can make it 12 of 174.

    Say what, now?

Edit: Okay, I tried to find out more about this. Turns out that Frank Corral holds the Rams’ rookie record with 29 FGs in 1978.

Josh Karty’s line this year: 23/28 FG (82%)
    0-29 yds (9/10)
    30-39 (7/8)
    40-49 (4/6)
    50+ (3/4
    XP (30/34)

That’s not bad. Not as bad as I thought. I think it’s the missed XPs that really stand out. I don’t know league averages, nor what last season’s kicking circus produced for comparison, but that looks okay to me on paper.

Quentin Lake is only 1 of 4 defenders to have played 100% of their teams’ snaps this season. He has allowed -10.7 target EPA, which is the 8th fewest amongst safeties. (via NGS)

Puka Nacua is just 139 yards shy of 1,000 receiving yards this season (he has only played in 10 games).

He would be the 1st Rams WR in history to have 1,000+ receiving yards in both of his first 2 years with the team 👀

    NFL Stats@NFL_Stats
QBs sacked the most this season:

    Caleb Williams – 60
    CJ Stroud – 47
    Geno Smith – 45
    Sam Darnold – 45
    Justin Herbert – 40
    Will Levis – 40
    Jalen Hurts – 38
    Jayden Daniels – 38
    Baker Mayfield – 37
    Joe Burrow – 37

me note: Stafford has been sacked 28 times, which ranks 18th…and in this case, of course, the bigger the rank number, the better.

It’s the opposite with interception percentage stats, where the smaller the rank number the better. On this, Stafford ranks 11th.

Though some of that has been luck. There are games where he throws right at defenders a couple of times.
