Chris Shula did a hell of a job with the Rams defense this year. The unit improved throughout the season and really should go into next year feeling pretty good with a few more pieces.NFL+@NFLPlus

ModeratorIn his exit interview Monday, Kupp gave as definitive an answer as he could have when asked about his future in the NFL, leaving no doubt that heâll be returning for his ninth season as a pro in 2025.
âDo I want to play next year? Oh yeah,â he said convincingly. âThereâs no doubt in my mind that I want to play football. I feel like Iâve got a lot of good football left in me, so I definitely will be playing. I will be playing football next year, that much I know.â
Kupp has two years left on his contract with the Rams so itâs entirely possible heâll remain in Los Angeles â and he even said himself that he âwould love to be in L.A.â But he also knows that a lot of it is out of his control.

More needs to be said about the Rams playing on Monday night on the road in AZ. Having a short week of preparation. Limited rest. The fires. Traveling cross country to snowy Philadelphia for a 12pm game. Would have been an excuse by othersJanuary 21, 2025 at 6:43 pm #154877zn

ModeratorThe Pro Football Writers of America gave the Ramsâ class some high praise with the release of its 2024 All-Rookie Team on Tuesday, picking three players from Los Angeles to represent the Rams.
Jared Verse, who was named PFWAâs Defensive Rookie of the Year, earned a spot at linebacker. Braden Fiske, rookie leader in sacks this season, got the nod along the defensive line. And Jordan Whittington was voted the best rookie kick returner in the league by the PFWA.
The Ramsâ three selections are the most of any team, showing just how great their rookie class was. Itâs the second year in a row that the Rams have had the most All-Rookie selections in the league after having four players picked in 2023: Steve Avila, Puka Nacua, Kobie Turner and Byron Young.

ModeratorCoaching staff should remain intact
This offseason is going to feel weird for the Rams because of how little attention their coaching staff is getting. After losing Raheem Morris and Zac Robinson (among others) last offseason, McVayâs assistants have flown under the radar during this hiring cycle.
If that holds true for the next month, the Rams will have a chance to bring back their entire coaching staff â coordinators included. It may not seem like a big deal, but the Rams have undergone so many changes over the last several years that itâll be a bonus to keep everyone around without losing key coaches.
Mike LaFleur should be back as McVayâs offensive coordinator, Chris Shula should return as the defensive coordinator and Chase Blackburn will try to continue building on a great 2024 season on special teams.

So the Rams quality draft production dropped 25% this year. That is significantly worse, and maybe doesn’t get talked about enough.

The Bears have requested Rams assistant head coach & passing game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant to interview for their vacant DC job under Ben Johnson, source said. A key reason Chris Shula’s defense impressed so much late in the season.

What did you do to this? Was it just adding text that made the Skeet appear rather than just the link? (I just invented a new definition for a word, and I’m pleased with it).

You put in the bluesky tweet by Rapaport. Unfortunately it was only a link. I tried to get the tweet to post, but it wouldn’t–it came out link only no matter what I did (some tweets are like that, sometimes they won’t post, you get only links). So I just copied it, to be all print. Then in the process of doing that I noticed another bluesky tweet about Pleasant and just added it.
That’s all okay, right? The original intent was just to fix the Rapaport tweet, which would only post as a link.

Oh, I didn’t even notice it was a different tweet. LOL. So both tweets are from bluesky, but Rapaport’s appeared only as a link, but PFT displayed properly?
Well…okay. I think it’s the first time I’ve linked bluesky. I will watch what happens next time.
