The Seahawks beat the Bucs and Steelers. The Rams didn’t. Therefore, LA isn’t going to win the (common opponents) tiebreaker with SEA, should it come to that.

Ergo, the Seahawks beating the Vikings is best for the Rams.

You can say, well the Seahawks still have to beat the Panthers for that to be true.

Indeed. But if you’re banking on them being upset in Carolina, then you’re in a whole different quadrant of scenarios which come with lower odds of success for the Rams.

PFF Week 13 Team of the Week: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-13-team-of-the-week-2019?utm_source=cj&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=cjaff&cjevent=7b15428c15da11ea828e013c0a24060c

RB TODD GURLEY II, LOS ANGELES RAMS
It’s been a quiet year for Gurley, but Week 13 did wonders for his season-long outlook. Tasked with 19 carries against the Arizona Cardinals, Gurley racked up 95 rushing yards, 61 rushing yards after contact, one touchdown, four additional first downs and three forced missed tackles. As if that wasn’t enough, he also took his lone pass target of the day 22 yards after the catch for a touchdown.

CB DAVID LONG JR., LOS ANGELES RAMS
One of PFF’s pre-draft favorites, Rams cornerback David Long did a great job against the Cardinals’ passing attack in Week 13, forcing an incompletion on his single target of the game. He ended the game having allowed a passer rating of just 39.6.

Brockers quietly having a nice season

3 sacks, 4th overall on the team in tackles. Pretty good for a 3-4 DE. Good solid season for him.

#LARams Todd Gurley hasn’t had the season most are used to him having, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t producing in 2019

Among all RB’s with at least 100 rush attempts, Gurley has the 6th highest Run Grade in the league this season

    Suh-weet!

I think someone said the Rams now have a 26% chance of making the playoffs. I looked up NYT and it says 29%. 538 says 25%. Football Outsiders puts it at 16%. They’re obviously making different assumptions.

Teams that go 10-6 made the playoffs 56% of the time from 1990 to 2013. But the Rams picked a bad year to go 10-6 (if that’s in fact what happens). The division is too tough for that.

At this point in the season you start looking at Points Differential as one of the ways to tell who’s who in the league. Clearly the Ravens, 49ers and Patriots are the top 3 by that measure. Seattle is 10th (+36). The Rams are 12th (+33).

Brockers has never quite lived up to what I’d hoped he would be. He was a first round pick and I’d hoped for more of a wrecking-ball in the pass rush.

But he’s been solid and steady and coaches seem to value him.

I’ve noticed him more this year than any other year. He’s seems more athletic this year. Healthy and fast.

Course he’s invisible to the media playing with Aaron Donald. He’s a bit like Roger Brown or Diron Talbert, i guess. Good player playin next to a great player.

I didnt realize he was so vocal. Seems like a good team-mate.

“…Dick Butkus called them “the most dominant line in football history.”[1] They gained fame as the Rams went from a perennial under .500 team to an NFL powerhouse under coach George Allen. Roger Brown replaced Grier in 1967, and Diron Talbert replaced Brown in 1970. Also in 1970 Coy Bacon replaced Lamar Lundy.

The line was ultimately broken up when George Allen became coach of the Washington Redskins in 1971…” wiki; fearsome foursome

There aren’t any post-June 1 designations or delayed bonus acceleration with trades & cuts after June 1 in 2020 since it is the final year of the CBA.
