Sean McVay said the Rams had coaches and staff jumping on their “look teams” in today’s practice because of how undermanned they are.

“Good thing we’ve got a lot of athletes on our coaching staff and our staff to be able to jump in and give us some good looks.”

Last year, the NFL moved Washington’s game at Pittsburgh one day because of cases with the Steelers. Team went out and won; then won the next week — on a short week while traveling west (to Phoenix, where the 49ers were playing their home games).

With 1.5 sacks on Tuesday AD will pass Warren Sapp in career sacks. AD will amass in 8 seasons what Sapp did in 13 & he was a first ballot HOFer!

Raheem Morris asked for a score-check of Lions/Cardinals during his zoom presser just now – when updated by Rams spokesman, he smiles and says, “Alright! The ‘fightin’ Aubrey Pleasants!’ Let’s go!”

    ==========

A lot is written about AD, but a lot of it compares apples and oranges,
or DTs to DEs or LBs, etc.

This message above, says it all, though. Sapp is often considered
the best DT of his generation. A human wrecking ball.
AD should not be compared to edge rushers.

I believe that the Rams will explode against Seattle the same way they did against Arizona I also believe this team has found their identity and will carry it all the way to the super bowl

    Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
The three starters still on the list are Jordan Fuller, Rob Havenstein and Tyler Higbee. Key role-players on list (among others) include Joe Noteboom, Obo Okoronkwo and Terrell Burgess. Depth will be tested vs. Seattle today.

DO NOT mean “RB by committee” – more so mixing complementary abilities between look pre-snap, run and pass usage…if it were me, Sony would still get larger, steadier carry share but Henderson hell of an asset in pass game

    SeattleRams@seattlerams_nfl
No Jordan Fuller and no Terrell Burgess means that we should see a lot of Nick Scott tonight, which has me fearful of being baited by play action and getting beat over the top by one of the best deep ball throwers in the league.

The Rams are getting another starter back from the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Tuesday’s game, activating Von Miller.

    from https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2021/12/15/rams-matthew-stafford-sean-mcvay-play-action-breakdown/?taid=61c216285bce710001f05af4&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

McVay explains how effective Stafford has been in play-action situations in the last few weeks.

“I really think it’s been a reflection and a result of him being able to maximize the opportunities that we’ve had,” McVay said Tuesday. “And then I think some of the tough hard-earned runs by Sony (Michel). We talked about some of the identity stuff. I think the good offenses do a good job of having the run and the pass complement one another and I think you’ve seen that come to life the last couple weeks. But some of those throws that Matthew made last night on those deep shots, the one to Van Jefferson as he’s going to his left, still on the move, uncorks that thing 60 yards in perfect stride. And then the throw that he makes to Cooper (Kupp) on his similar kind of rollout where he is setting up and drops it right in over the top. Great route because (Byron) Murphy is in a really good position. Those are two of the best throws that you’ll see and that’s pure talent, but then also a great feel and understanding of where the ball should go based on the coverage that we got right there. I thought those two plays were as important as anything for what they represented during the course of the game and the momentum that kind of shifted in our favor as a result of both those positive plays.”

Jalen Ramsey kept DK Metcalf in check on Tuesday night, limiting him to just two catches on seven targets when covering the Seahawks WR.

Game balls go to the 71k @RamsNFL fans who showed up on a Tuesday afternoon at 4pm and made a huge difference. I probably should have sent permission notes to miss work tomorrow instead of this afternoon!! Love what a home field advantage @SoFiStadium has become for our team

Cooper Kupp is on pace for 1,973 receiving yards this season

That would break Calvin Johnson’s single-season NFL record of 1,964 yards Flushed face

Interesting stuff from Cowherd and Schlereth. Cowherd is one of very few yappers I can listen to. So much sports talk is about ego and bluster. Anyway…

The comments about Seattle are interesting. I thought Metcalf was supposed to be a great WR, but Cowherd doesn’t think he runs routes. The Rams haven’t had any trouble from him, that’s for sure. Cowherd thinks it’s a drafting issue up there in Seattle, and also maybe the Wilson/Carroll marriage has gone stale. I wonder if it’s time to break that team up and start again. New coach or new QB. The idea of Wilson going to Denver is interesting. That would make the AFC West a helluva division.

It’s true what he said about AZ’s schedule. It’s got loseable games, though the Rams’ schedule does, too. As Nittany said, the Rams could go 0-3 or 3-0, but it’s set up for them to take the division if they win their games. I don’t think AZ is going to end up 13-4.

BREAKING: Fournette is out for the year. TB just took a hit.

This kind of statement infuriates me.

They play 17 games this year. Calvin set that record in a 16 game season.

That fact should be stated every time someone starts yapping about
a ‘record being broken’ this year.

Fournette and Godwin out for year?

Thats huge. Both are such physical, heart-and-soul players on that team.

I’d be very surprised if the Bucs can overcome that.

They have 3 weeks to activate him to play.

    Or else…what?
