In the Rams three losses they have gone into the fourth quarter having scored 13, 6 and 3 points, the lowest of all their games played this season

Sean McVay indicated that OLB Justin Hollins could be ready to play after recovering from pec injury by early/mid December.

not to be overly exaggeratory in any one of the “fixes”. Offense is not “bad”. Small threads here and there, from plan to calls to execution, should get this thing moving again. Don’t have to OVERcorrect, don’t have to compound offense etc

    Stu Jackson@StuJRams
Rams HC Sean McVay said OLB Leonard Floyd sustained a concussion in Week 10 against the 49ers, but doesn’t expect it to affect his status for this Sunday’s game against the Packers.

CB Dont’e Deayon is progressing well from his hamstring injury.

The injury to Deayon late in the week clearly affected the secondary against the Niners. Played more vanilla coverages to accommodate Rochell/Long it seemed

Severe storm conditions headed towards Green Bay. #LARams

Weather forecast for Sunday’s kickoff in Green Bay – a balmy 39 degrees. We still have to deal with Rodgers and his salty attitude after their loss yesterday. AD was not at full strength in last years playoff game. He will be this time

Former Rams receiving great Torry Holt is again among the released list of semi-finalists for this year’s Hall of Fame class. Class will be reduced to 15 former players before final vote and announcement in February.

Matt LaFleur on Rams WR Cooper Kupp: “He’s so intelligent. He can tell you the quarterback’s reads on almost every play.

The high for GB on Sunday is a toasty 37 degrees.

Stafford is 6-8 in games played under 40 degrees. He’s completed 59.7% of his passes with 26 TDs to 11 INTs. Stafford has two wins at Lambeau in games under 40 degree temps. Both games were with Hundley and Kizer at QB.

LA beat writers on zoom with Packers coach Matt LaFleur this AM following his presser w GB; LaFleur noted that with Stafford, McVay has been “very aggressive – you can see there are a lot of longer-developing plays where he is pushing the ball down the field. So you truly have to

defend the entire width of the field, as well as the length.”

More from LaFleur to reporter’s question framed around emotion of last matchup for Donald being motivating for him: “This guy is a complete game-wrecker. I’ve got so much respect for him, first of all, just how he approaches the game, his work ethic, what kind of teammate he
is, and then he’s able to be as effective in the run game as he is in the pass game. I mean, every play, his motor is non-stop. Then you look at his play-time and he’s playing almost the entire game every week. He is just relentless, he’s got the right mindset. Certainly don’t

want him to be any *extra* motivated, but it’s going to be a great challenge not only for our offensive line and some of those individual matchups that he’s going to have up front, but for everybody on our offense. Everybody needs to make sure that they are doing their job to the

best of their ability in order to try to stop a premier player like that.”

    Matt Schneidman@mattschneidman
Matt LaFleur asked by a Rams reporter how it makes him feel that Aaron Donald is extra motivated because the Packers ended their season.

    LaFleur jokes: “I wanna cry.”

Aaron Donald is PFF’s highest-graded defender through Week 11

Aaron Donald is PFF’s highest-graded defender through Week 11

    Cameron DaSilva

Aaron Donald may not be putting up huge numbers this season, but he remains one of the best defenders in the NFL – and is certainly among the top defensive linemen. Through 11 games, he has six sacks, nine tackles for a loss and 14 QB hits.

For comparison, he had 13.5 sacks, 14 tackles for a loss and 28 QB hits in 16 games last season, so he’s not quite on that same pace in 2021. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t been highly impactful for the Rams, though.

According to Pro Football Focus, Donald is the highest-graded defender in the NFL this season. He has an overall grade of 92.3, just slightly ahead of Maxx Crosby of the Raiders, who has a grade of 92.2.

That’s despite Donald having a tackling grade of 38.9 due to his seven missed tackles. He’s the only player among the top 35 defensive grades with a tackling grade below 40.0, so it’s likely his overall grade would be much higher if not for that blemish.

Donald’s 42 total pressures are the 14th-most in the NFL and his 24 stops are tied for ninth among all defensive linemen and edge rushers. So compared to the rest of the league, he’s still producing and playing well.

The Rams as a team are well-represented in the top 20 of PFF’s defensive grades this season. In addition to Donald ranking first, Jalen Ramsey is 11th, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo is 15th and Von Miller is 17th among players who have played at least 20% of the snaps on defense.
