    Rams Bros.@RamsBrothers
Iā€™m not sure people understand how good the Ramsā€™ front office/ownership actually is.

Aside from ā€œf*ck them picksā€ (which led to a Super Bowl win in their home stadium) and ā€œlove them picksā€ (which led to rebuilding 85% of the roster via the draft in the last 2 years), they also acquire INCREDIBLE coaching talent.

KOC, Raheem Morris, Matt LaFleur, Zac Taylor, Thomas Brown are all hires via ownership & front office. All head coaches currently. Not to mention the handful of assistants/coordinators scattered through the NFL and CFB currently.

Incredibly well-ran organization from top to bottom.

Yeah, I think we are in the Golden Age of Rams football.

Got no idea what happens Post-Stafford, but for now, this is as good of an organization as any fan can hope for.

It’s almost like Kobie Turner is Aaron Donald Lite.

    And I don’t think that’s a bad thing, myself.

    The highest-graded WRs this season:
    1. Puka Nacua – 92.4 šŸ™Œ
    ….

from PFF: 2024 NFL wide receiver rankings ahead of Week 16, https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-wide-receiver-rankings-ahead-of-week-16-2024

    1. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (92.4)

Nacua claims the top spot with a seven-catch, 97-yard performance against San Francisco. He hauled in two catches of 10-plus yards, including a 51-yard grab against double coverage early in the fourth quarter that set up the Rams inside the red zone.

Nacua excelled against zone coverage, catching six of his seven targets for 90 yards against those looks.

Since Week 13, heā€™s been targeted 15 times against zone and has secured 13 receptions for 168 yards, six first downs and a touchdown. Heā€™s averaging an impressive 3.82 yards per route run and leads the league in receiving grade against zone coverage since the start of December (89.9).

    32. Tutu Atwell, Los Angeles Rams (75.8)

Atwellā€™s lone catch of the night came late in the fourth quarter for a 6-yard gain, marking his fifth game this season with just one reception. He now has 36 catches for 513 yards on the year.

    from https://www.turfshowtimes.com/2024/12/20/24326172/rams-roster-les-snead-worst-mistake-allen-robinson

ESPNā€™s Bill Barnwell recently ranked all 32 teams worst move over the past five seasons. Coming in at number 13 was the Rams signing of wide receiver Allen Robinson. Said Barnwell,

ā€œGeneral manager Les Snead has gotten a lot of things right over the past five seasons, but two free agent signings have gone spectacularly wrong. One was signing Jonah Jackson this offseason. Thereā€™s a chance his Rams career might be over after being paid $25 million for three games. Until that happens, the Robinson deal has to be an even messier acquisition…The hope for L.A. was that an upgrade at quarterback and a more competitive situation would unlock him. Instead, Robinson somehow got worse. He averaged just under 1.0 yard per route run, which ranked 96th out of the 104 receivers who ran at least 200 routes that season. Even worse, the Rams were on the hook for a significant salary in 2023. To get out of the contract, they ate $10.8 million of his 2023 salary as part of a deal with the Steelers that netted L.A. a swap of seventh-round picks. The Rams ended up paying nearly $26 million for those 33 receptions. Canā€™t win them all.ā€

i agree, but the ultimate test for this organization is the ability to draft and develop a qb. they were close with goff, and if they were a little more patient, i think they could’ve pulled it off not necessarily blaming them. mcvay was not experienced enough to handle the situation.

but this is the last thing. and maybe another superbowl to really cement the mcvay snead era.

    from: https://www.therams.com/news/kobie-turner-fighting-through-double-teams-helped-rams-beat-49ers-on-thursday-night-football-week-15

Double-teaming Kobie Turner just gives him more people to beat. The Rams’ defensive end expects that challenge and trains for the exact situations that arose on Thursday Night Football against the 49ers.

In the first half, Turner was doubled four times. He generated four pressures and two sacks (both on third down), the most of any player in a first half this season against double teams.

Since the start of last season, no player has generated more pressures against double teams than Turner (42), according to Next Gen Stats.

The first sack of the game came in the first quarter when Purdy performed an inexplicable leap, as he couldn’t escape the pressure. Turner ran a stunt with outside linebacker Michael Hoecht, which brought him off the double-team after Turner used his hands to swipe them aside. He then tossed the 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman Dominick Puni out of his way to bring down Purdy in the pocket.
