What Jared Verse told me tonight about his playing style:

“The way I play, I’mma wear you out. If you’re not fast enough, I’m going to run around you. If you fast enough, you’re not strong enough, so I’mma run through you. I’mma wear you out as the game goes on.”

Verse gave the Vikings credit for figuring out ways to slow him down, but he also said when that happens, it leaves teammates with a 1-on-1 matchup.

“And you gonna regret that, I promise.”

Couple of defensive breakdowns early, with Hummel and Speights but no worse than with Reeder.
Rams defense on heels early, good from then on … Rams fans should be pleased

Quick throws (and some success with the run) have helped the Rams take some of the teeth/multiplicity out of this pressure but not sure yet whether they can protect long enough to get things rolling downfield (without holding)

That was the first touchdown in the first quarter the Rams have scored this season, btw

Kyren Williams’ touchdown streak *technically* continues – and look how magically the red zone issues wash away with both Kupp and Nacua out there drawing attention from defenders

It’s time to talk about Alaric Jackson. Since returning in Week 3, he’s been playing pro bowl-level ball. Had allowed just 5 (!!!!!) pressures heading into last night. Among all T’s with 100+ snaps, that’s the 6th-fewest. And he dominated again last night.

Yes, the NFL has the “blueprint” for the Vikings defense. All you need is a killer quarterback able to read out all the coverage switches in 0.1 seconds, and the arm talent to exploit the reads in real time with banger throws all over the place. Which is a good strategy!

Puka Nacua generated 56 yards after the catch in last nights game, the 2nd most by any Rams player in a game this season. He had 3+ yards of separation on 5 of his 7 receptions. We missed him so badly.

Matthew Stafford wasn’t pressured on 88.2% of his dropbacks last night per Next Gen Stats, going 21/30 for 259 yards (70%), 3 TDs, 1 INT and 8.6 yards per attempt. On the 4 dropbacks he was pressured, Rams had outlets and he chose them. 4/4 20 yds, TD, 5.0 YPA and +19.6 CPOE.

The Rams put up a season-high in points and yards per play, according to @ESPNStatsInfo. The Rams also scored a touchdown on all three of their red zone drives.
