The #Rams and WR Demarcus Robinson have agreed to terms on a 1-year deal worth $5M, per
@KatzBrosSports . He stays in LA after a productive season last year.

Can confirm per a source that the two sides have agreed to terms… Quietly felt like it was among Rams offseason priorities to get Demarcus Robinson back as he clicked with Matthew Stafford and emerged in a defined role in the offense after the 2023 bye week.

Among players with at least 35 targets last season, DeMarcus Robinson ranked 10th with a passer rating of 120.8 when targeted. Stafford—>Robinson had the 8th highest success rate in 2023. Led all Rams WRs in ESPN Open Score.

Excellent.   Wish it was a two year deal.

Need Kupp and Higby to get healthy.

Remember, Demarcus Robinson didn’t have a full offseason with Stafford, McVay in 23’. He was fighting for a roster spot after being signed June 12. Quickly became apparent he was a huge upgrade over the WR traded to ATL. What can he do in this offense with a full offseason of work?

Imagine this offense with a healthy Kupp, an improved D. Robinson and an improved Puka Nacua (is that even possible?).

an improved Puka Nacua (is that even possible?).

Well he did lead the league in drops. And I saw break downs of his play where analysts pointed out that he wasn’t an accomplished route runner in 23 (he often telegraphed routes and would slow down going into hard cuts). So yes you would think he could improve if he works on things in the off-season and in camp.

Ah yes, the drops. I forgot about them.

Also, he gets tackled too often.

According to PFF, he was tackled every time he had the ball except for when he scored or ran out of bounds.

That’s just unacceptable and reflects a lack of commitment and work ethic. He needs to look into his soul and decide whether he wants to be a football player or just another LA socialite.

Well yeah, that’s the problem. I mean I’m not racist or anything, but…Samoans. You know. Too laid back. No ambition.

So even when he did break tackles, it was just to run into the next one.

In every single respect, the opposite of Atwell.

That’s because in addition to a love of food and drink, Shire-folk love football.

yeah.  i imagine kupp gets healthy.  or at least healthier than last year.  robinson maintains his level of play from last year.  and i imagine that puka gets better.  so along with atwell the receivers are set.

higbee is gonna still be recovering at the beginning of the season.  so hopefully allen is ready.  rams should draft a tight end in later rounds for depth.

    still need a backup qb.

still need to settle on the oline.  looks like they plan on bringing shelton back.  haven’t heard anything yet on dotson or jackson.

This thread digressed into some fantastic–and faaaaar from inappropriate–humor. 😎

But in the midst of that, something was said that was true. It really is the case that some analysts said during the season that Nacua needs to work on his route running.

Which we all know he will.

So imagine him when he does step up his game in 2024.  😲

well one thing also about nacua.  he needs to somehow learn how to absorb less punishment.  like coop he tends to get banged up.  he got a little lucky last year in that he didn’t miss any games i don’t think.  but he was getting hit a lot.  and there were times you could see he was really hurting.  i don’t know if you can learn that or not.  but i do worry about his health.

and then yes.  the hands and the route running needs to be improved.  but those are things that can definitely be worked on.
