Shouldn’t a penalty have been called on
his long punt return?
I mean, is it legal for him to actually
return one without a penalty?w

vA fair catch penalty wiped out one punt return, so I guess they had their quota?
December 7, 2014 at 5:20 pm #13293WinnbradParticipantGZ = terrible field. They should plow it under and plant corn.
December 7, 2014 at 5:45 pm #13295sdramParticipantAll these blowouts are boooooring….
December 7, 2014 at 5:45 pm #13296MaddyParticipantFisher had the six players from the RGIII trade as coin toss captains. That’s pretty good.

I didn’t know that – I missed the opening kick but that’s pretty funny actually. Well, pretty funny for
Ram fans that is!December 7, 2014 at 6:00 pm #13299wvParticipantFisher had the six players from the RGIII trade as coin toss captains. That’s pretty good.

vNo it’s true. JT tweeted it.
December 7, 2014 at 6:03 pm #13301wvParticipantYa know, its true that the
Raiders and Washington suck,
but the 99-GSOT team beat-down
a ton of awful teams. It wasnt
the fact they beat bad teams
that was salient — it was the “way”
they beat them. This team has beaten two awful teams
in an intriguing way. (with a backup QB)w

And humorous.w

Back to Back Shoutouts in NFL History
How rare are back-to-back shutouts? The Cowboys became only the 14th team — technically the 1976 Steelers did it twice, so it’s 13 teams to accomplish it 14 times — to do it since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

vI’ll add that no teams with professional NFL player are “awful” in themselves. Look, Washington beat the Cowboys in Dallas and Oakland beat the Niners today.
Just winning, period, is tough in this league. The worst NFL team roster is filled with the best 100 football players of any college draft. To go 76-0 over two games is almost unheard of.
If this tells us anything it’s that it’s not the players but the ownership.

LOL.
But you know, honestly, I was watching that last quarter and was feeling tension. The game was in the bag. No question. But I really wanted that 2nd goose egg.
By virtue of the absurd ...

You, sirs, are both correct. Absolutely.
2 shut outs. I can’t really fathom that. I don’t care whom we were playing.

Yeah, me, too. I think the D did, too. They were still playing pretty hard, even if they were giving up the underneath passes.
