The Saints and Rams have played 77 times in the regular season with Los Angeles holding a 43-34 edge, while the clubs have split two playoff contests.
November 29, 2024 at 12:38 am #153551ZooeyModeratorI got the Rams winning this one by about 45 points, and I hope I don’t have to face all the accusations against me as a pessimist again. So fatiguing.

Alaric Jackson might be out. Havenstein might not be ready. Some are saying the LOT could be Noteboom.
If the Rams don’t draft a tackle high this draft, I will personally banish them from the planet.

So, how do they come back from that?

vNah, it was more of a “Mel’s Diner” beatdown. That ain’t so bad.

I got the impression that as the Eagles game wore on and the D was getting challenged physically, they began to “press”–get undisciplined trying to make plays. If you listen to the analysis from Rodrigue and others, they made mistakes and abandoned their gap discipline, which of course made things worse. Or, I guess, even worse. It was a regression because since the bye they had been tighter when it comes to that.
We’ll see how much they learned from that and if learning from it can improve them this year. But you can learn from that. IMO? No one who is competitive enough to play in the NFL just “quits” because of a loss.
Heck the 2021 Rams suffered an embarassing 31-10 loss against the 9ers in week 10, allowing 156 yards rushing while getting just 52 on their side, and throwing 2 INTs including a pick 6. That Rams team as you know won the super bowl. So they came back from that game. I doubt the super bowl is on the horizon this year but they can learn from a bad loss and come back better.

Saints running game can gash youRams weakness is stopping runs and tought runners make it worse — Kamara and Hill are really hard runners
Saints have had 4 games of 180 or more yards rushing this year — but the Chiefs D did stop them

Cooper Kupp has a plus matchup in the slot against the Saints defenseNew Orleans ranks 30th in receiving yards allowed to slot receivers this season. Kupp can capitalize, as he ranks 8th in the NFL with 402 receiving yards from the slot

Rams are 4-2 vs. Saints under Sean McVay
Dating back to 2017, the Rams have faced the Saints six times, including that unforgettable (and controversial) NFC Championship Game in the 2018 playoffs. The Rams are 4-2 in those contests, winning three of their last four against New Orleans. They took down the Saints at home last year, 30-22, behind an offensive output of 458 yards.

i’m thinking they come out pissed today.
