Cornerback Derion Kendrick, whom Seattle released this week, was claimed today by his former LA Rams team, per his agents Zac Hiller and Matt Leist.

Kendrick’s was with the Rams, then the Seahawks and now returns to the Rams.

The Los Angeles Rams continue to shuffle their roster with it getting late in the season. On Wednesday…The team announced it has signed 10-year veteran Nick Vannett to bolster their tight end room with Tyler Higbee out….

Vannett, 32, is 6-foot-5 and 266 pounds, but isn’t known for his receiving skills. He has 108 career receptions since 2016 and has scored nine touchdowns. He can help as a blocker in 13 personnel packages, while also providing some insurance in case Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen or Terrance Ferguson gets hurt.

    from the wiki on Vannett:

Vannett was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round with the 94th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft

    • Reserve/Injured CB Roger McCreary

    from https://www.seattlepi.com/sports/rams-put-cb-roger-mccreary-on-injured-reserve-a21210318

McCreary has played mostly on special teams since being acquired in a trade with Tennessee last month. He finally got his first defensive snap in the Rams’ 34-7 victory over Tampa Bay last Sunday, but apparently injured his hip on the play.

Ahkello Witherspoon and Tutu Atwell both full participants in today’s practice, per the Rams injury report

    from Stu Jackson: https://www.therams.com/news/injury-updates-rams-open-tutu-atwell-and-ahkello-witherspoon-s-21-day-practice-windows-both-expected-to-play-sunday-at-panthers-roger-mccreary-placed-on-injured-reserve

“I think he’ll (Witherspoon) be able to play this week,” McVay said. “He got some scans. The goal and the anticipation is to be able to do that. But with both he and Tutu, we’ll get through the week, and we’ll see where they’re both at. But it’ll be good to get them back on the practice field.”

from Rams bring Tutu Atwell and Ahkello Witherspoon off injured reserve

    Gary Klein

    https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2025-11-26/rams-bring-tutu-atwell-ahkello-witherspoon-off-injured-reserve

The Rams, the team with the best record in the NFC, are getting stronger.

On Wednesday, the Rams designated receiver Tutu Atwell and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon to return from injured reserve. Both could play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, N.C., coach Sean McVay said.

McVay said last week that Atwell, who has recovered from a hamstring injury, was expected to play on Sunday. But Witherspoon was thought to still be several weeks from returning from an injury suffered in the second week of the season. Witherspoon said Wednesday that he suffered a left scapula injury, not a broken collarbone as McVay initially described to reporters.

McVay on Wednesday said the results of a scan, and Witherspoon’s work with trainers, put him ahead of schedule.

“To get Ahkello back, we’ve got some flexibility,” McVay said.

Witherspoon’s return creates a good problem for the Rams at outside cornerback. Emmanuel Forbes Jr. and Cobie Durant have surged in recent weeks, combining for five interceptions and a defensive touchdown over the past four games.

“You definitely don’t want to take those guys out of their flow,” defensive coordinator Chris Shula said.

“(Witherspoon) has a skill set that we definitely want to use.”

But Witherspoon adds a dimension in his own right, too. At 6-foot-2, he offers more length than most of their cornerbacks and has shown an ability to handle physical matchups and make plays on the ball. He has 23 passes defended and four interceptions in his 24 starts with the team.

Durant is an option to play at nickel cornerback, which becomes more likely after the Rams lost Lake and McCreary to injured reserve. Los Angeles runs one of the highest rates of dime personnel in the NFL, opening up six spots for defensive backs, with safeties Kam Kinchens and Kam Curl as the mainstays of the group with Lake out.

Cornerback Derion Kendrick, whom Seattle released this week, was claimed today by his former LA Rams team

    Brady Henderson@BradyHenderson
Mike Macdonald said the Seahawks hoped to get Kendrick back on their PS, but they had to know this might happen. Kendrick had two INTs early in the year but he got benched in Week 5 for poor tackling and hadn’t played much since then. He also erred on the Titans’ punt return TD.
