Green Bay on the soon-to-be frozen Tundra. Can anybody handle Mr. Rogers and his mates on their home turf? Tall order. Tall order indeed.
Green Bay is obviously the more complete team and Rogers last threw a pick at home during Prohibition.
For the Rams to win here are six keys:
-Austin must provide an explosive score on offense or teams
-special teams must successfully execute a trick play
-Gurley and the Rams’ offense must keep Rogers off the field (win TOP)
-Rams D must pressure with less blitzing than usual
-allow Rogers nothing over the top
-hold Green Bay to FGs more often than not in the RZIf they do 5 out of the 6, I am taking the Rams and the points, spread was at like 10 I think – that is a lot of points to give anybody against the Rams D.
October 7, 2015 at 9:31 am #31908ZooeyModeratorI think Green Bay is going to look back on this game as their most humbling of the season.
October 7, 2015 at 9:42 am #31909lyserParticipantRams have a habit of bringing the pain. I would never ever root for injuries, but they gotta let ARodge know what’s up – rattle his ass, hit ’em, be physical as hell, pick spots for Blitzes – get some packages in for Ayers Barron, JL and the Mac bros to come clean. Gotta pick your spots tho – can’t just bring the house all the time against this guy – so quick, nimble on his feet and unloads in a hurry. Should be a good game.

Because they so thoroughly destroy the Rams that they begin to question a lifestyle driven by violence so they join a Tibetan monastery where they take a vow of humility?
October 7, 2015 at 1:11 pm #31915DakParticipantThe Rams are going to have to run the ball like they did in the second half of the Arizona game. And, they’re going to have to protect the ball like they did in Arizona. And, they’ll have to cause some turnovers.
All of that would buy them a chance. IF Green Bay moves the ball up and down the field like Pittsburgh and Arizona, I’m just not confident that this D can keep Rodgers from striking in the end zone in Lambeau.

Boy, do I know how to bait the trap for Raiders fans, or what.
It’s amazing that trolls keep coming to this board in spite of round after round of humiliation at my hands.
October 7, 2015 at 5:00 pm #31923joemadParticipantThe two teams have met each other 93 times (including 2 postseason games), with the Green Bay Packers winning 45 games and the Rams winning 46 games. They have also tied 2 times.
Packers have averaged 30 points per game in their last 3 meetings (A-Rod as QB).
Foles is 1-0 as a starter in GB, but A-Rod was hurt in that game…, Seneca Wallace was the starter, and he got knocked out in that game.
The last time the Rams won in GB was in 2006, when Marc Bulger was QB.
I love my Rams, but

vOooooo, ooooooo, Rate the Flamer. Hours of action packed fun.
But I thought that was developed during the SOSAR period, when football wasnt very much fun to talk about. However, that was then, and this is now. No more SOSAR now, is there???? IS THERE!???
And, Nittany isn’t REALLY a Flamer, is he? Nah, can’t be. You guys are mistaking him for someone else, I’m thinkin.

Good eye, NE. Your suspicions are correct. I’m not a flamer, and wv and zooey are just bitter little men. Bitter, bitter little men.
But you saw them for what they are right away, and for that I am thankful.

Oh. I see. Another pie in the sky optimist. So how are things where you are with all the cotton candy and rainbows.
Btw, you want a real prediction? Rams 24, Packers 22. Packers score 2 TDs, but go for 2 on one and miss, then score 3 FGS.
That just came to me out of the blue.

Are you predicting that the Packers get a…kind of…lesson in HUMILITY…AT HOME?
Is THAT what you’re saying?

intensity the Rams can generate,

October 9, 2015 at 12:01 am #31998PA RamParticipantAs some of you will recall in the chat room, I kept saying things like, “Don’t sweat it guys…the Rams got this.”
I also mentioned that if you mix cheezwhiz and peanut butter and put it in a squeeze bottle and call it Cheeze-Nut, you’d never have to work again.
Then there was the comment how football would be a much more interesting sport if played on a hockey rink. And then how “rink” was a weird word.
But this week I got none of that.
This week I’m VERY concerned. Aaron Rodgers has like–Superman numbers at Lambeau Field.
This is from an article last month:
Saying Rodgers is pretty good at home is like saying Donald Trump is pretty rich and pretty controversial. In the last two seasons at Lambeau Field, Rodgers has completed 241 of 350 passes for 3,375 yards, with 33 touchdowns and no interceptions. Throw in the Packers’ two home playoff games in the last two seasons, and Rodgers’s numbers improve to 282-for-411, 3,868 yards, 37 TDs, 0 INT.
Really: 37 touchdowns and no interceptions. That works out to a passer rating of 128.5.
Add in the fact that the Rams just came off a tough road victory and are playing a second straight road game(not counting the Pittsburgh invasion of the Edward Jones Dome)and it looks like a tall order.
I expect a letdown for this one.
I hope I’m wrong.
Packers: 27 Rams: 17
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. " Philip K. Dick
October 9, 2015 at 12:40 am #32002ZooeyModeratorHe has 48 TD passes and Zero interceptions in his last 19 games at Lambeau. That’s an average of 2.5 TD passes a game, and an average of…zero interceptions per game.
Nothing lasts forever, so the man is due.
I’m telling you. The Packers are due to lose a game at home, and the Rams are due to win two games in a row that they shouldn’t win. Rams 22-20.
October 9, 2015 at 10:54 am #32012JackPMillerParticipantWe are playing Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. If we struggled against Pittsburgh at home, then we will truly have issues against the Pack in their place.

But the defense did not struggle against Pittsburgh, the offense did. And then of course the following week the offense contributed to defeating Arizona in Arizona. It is clear that the Rams offense stumbled against Washington and the Steelers, so the question then becomes whether the Arizona game was another “rise up against the strong” type Rams victory we have seen before with an inconsistent team, or if it represented an actual step forward.
Roethlisberger was seen as having a banner year, but after early scores by the Steelers, the Rams defense rose to the occasion and took the game to them.
October 9, 2015 at 10:22 pm #32037InvaderRamModeratorthe defense will have to play better than they did against pitt and arizona. not that they played bad those two games, but they’ll have to play better.
the running game will have to play better than they ever have. upon further inspection that green bay rush defense is better than the stats would have you think. they have to show that they’ve learned from the first four games.
and again. they’ll have to win the turnover battle. then maybe they have a chance.

I look at this Steelers team, even with Big Ben as a bad football team. The Steelers D lost some big leaders, and Dick LeBeau. The Steelers in my mind have a not so good OLine, which has Kelvin Beachum as the starting LT. Should have destroyed the Steelers. We are much better than Pittsburgh. That is how I feel. If we could not beat Pittsburgh at home, we have no shot at beating the Packers in Green Bay.

London Fiasco to me. Yall remember how
‘that’ game went. Brady threw for 11 TDs
in the first ten series.Rams poured a LOT of energy into that Card game.
This one is on the Road.
Aaron Rogers.
Lacy.
Rams are still making tons of mistakes on offense
and the defense just lost Ogletree.Just looks like an elite team playing

I think it’s more complicated than that, Jack. I mean, a team that can’t beat Pittsburgh at home should have no business beating Arizona on the road either but they managed to do just that.
I think this game comes down to the o-line. If their improved performance in the second half against Arizona was just an aberration then they have no chance in Green Bay…but if that performance represents real improvement then I think they have a chance.
