znModeratorWell that was good.
Stafford now 25 TDs and 2 INTs on the season.
SF has a great offense. It’s defense though just couldn’t keep up.
Rams scored every time they were in the RZ.
Post away, me hearties.

canadaramParticipantAnytime the Rams end the game in victory formation in the Niners redzone it’s a good day.
Things I loved:
– Every TE had a reception.
– The even distribution of carries between Corrum and Williams.
– Landman forcing another fumble, and his game in general.
– Stafford and Adams are in sync.
– The redzone offense was great.
– No missed extra points.Things I didn’t like as much:
– No sacks for the Rams.
– The 3 incompletions to Ferguson. I was about to boldly claim that the Rams should not attempt anymore passes his way when Stafford hit him for 32 yards.
– The quick scores they gave up at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half.Great win though. Seahawks are going to be incredibly difficult to beat.

Billy_TParticipantI wish I could have seen this one live. Was O-2, going to the games in SF.
I agree with Canadaram about the Seahawks. They may be the Rams’ toughest competitor now.
Great win!

wvParticipantIs this the best Ram Red Zone offense we’ve seen in the last ten years? Seems that way to me.
Rams had 401 yards, SF had 393.
I would not have predicted the Rams DLine would get zero sacks.
Stafford had time to throw. No-one is gonna beat the Rams like that.
Remember the last time the Rams scored 42 against SF? Oct 10, 1999.
Great win. I would have preferred it if they had tacked on a TD and a 2 point conversion at the end.

wvParticipantJust listened to a snippet of the Forbes interview at the Rams press conf. (He spoke a bit after McVay and Stafford) What a fucking breath of fresh air THAT kid is. Very team oriented.

canadaramParticipantI would like to add that the Rams have now beat the Niners 4 out of the last 5 times they’ve played.

nittany ramModeratorThis is the best Rams team (not counting the Massey era, of course) since the 2001 squad.
Easily.

InvaderRamModeratorstafford looks like a legit mvp candidate.
offense looks solid. stafford able to spread the ball around.
defense gave up some cheap scores.
still not convinced by the st unit. that seems like the main thing holding the rams back from a super bowl run.

ZooeyModeratorThey scored 6 TDs and were never seriously threatened by the 9ers, and I’m still not as excited as I’d like to be. No sacks bugged me, and I don’t know how that’s even possible considering the beating they dropped on Jones last time. I didn’t like Jones having a higher completion percentage than Stafford.
But I look at the outcome – 6 TDs and never seriously threatened – and I’m not sure what more I could want, really. This new emphasis on Tight Ends is something. Reminds me of Roland Williams comment on the sideline. “…everybody scores.”
Stafford’s out there throwing No Looks, and Sidearms, and Underhand, and Somersaults or whatever. Williams is still reliable for several 8 yard runs, and Corum is playing a meaningful part this year. The secondary is holding up, and Landman is the best guy in the NFL who won’t get Pro Bowl consideration. There’s really nothing to complain about, but I still want more.
Seattle is supposed to be real, so I guess next week is a big test.

znModeratorDuring the bye I wrote in a post that it would be nice if post-bye improvement extended to this year too. Famously, the previous 2 seasons, the Rams improved after the bye. In 2023, they started 3-6. After the bye they were 7-1. In 2024, they started 1-4. After the bye they were 9-3. Both times, it’s not just that they used to bye to get healthy and get injured players back. The Rams had a knack for using the bye to adjust what they were doing on offense and defense. So there were changes to coaching–IE. how coaches schemed and who they used and didn’t use among players.
Well if the bye adjustments thing is real, what if you have a decent start instead of a slow start? Do you still improve after the bye? So like if we grade a team 1 through 10, and the 2024 Rams were a “3” team before the bye and an “8” team after the bye, does that continue if you start out okay? So is this possible–the pre-bye Rams are a “7” but then the post-bye Rams jump to being a “9.”
That’s what I wrote then. And! I think it’s true. They did make another jump up, just from a higher starting point.
For example in that post I wrote this:
Redzone (they had RZ issues again, or still…but will learning to use Adams in the RZ fixing this?)
And man, did that ever turn out to be true. If the games since the bye are any indication, this is the best the McV Rams have ever been in the RZ. According to one stat site, in the last 3 games the Rams are at 86.67% in this stat: NFL Team Red Zone Scoring Percentage (TD only). Last year, they were 63.41%.

wvParticipantI have no idea how D.Adams does not have a major concussion, because the 49ers were targeting him with numbers and force.
Stafford now with 25 TDs, leading league. Goff is second with 20. Sam Darnold has 17.
Just looking at Yards allowed, the Rams defense is 10th (302 yds) and the Seahawks are 11 (303).

ZooeyModeratorThe 49ers are not done causing problems, btw. They should win their next 4 games, and if they do, they will be 10-4.
Cardinals
Panthers
Browns
TitansColts, Bears, and Seattle to close.
They’re probably going to make the playoffs.

InvaderRamModeratorrams look like they get better every week. i still am far from convinced by the kicking game. but i think that’s the only thing holding them back. that and kyren’s fumbling.
stafford looks as good as i’ve ever seen him playing for the rams. i hope he can play until he’s 40.
