    I am starting to get a pretty positive view of Bennett. IMO he’s a gamer. He can make accurate throws when pressured. He’s steady, composed when they’re behind, and processes things quickly. Whatever was going on with him the first 2 years, he came out of it as (at the minimum) a solid #2 type. If he keeps developing I could imagine him as a starter.

    Minor points:

    Dunno about Hunter. Whatever magic Kyren has behind the LOS reading the play as it unfolds in front of him (and in a lot of ways Schrader has that too)…Hunter does not seem to have it. He’s fine in the open field but with Kyren and Schrader the blocking looks great but with Hunter the same blockers don’t look as great, by which of course I mean Kyren and Schrader see the plays and Hunter doesn’t do that as well as them.

    It was good to see Brennan Jackson get his sacks. This Rams team could have as much talent in the DL/edge department as any Rams team any of us have ever seen.

    Man are the Rams ridiculously deep at receiver. There were guys in this game whose names I didn’t recognize, and who we’ll never hear of again, that were making great plays.

    I think the Chargers had the better Uniforms in this one. Sad to say it, but i have to be honest.

    I blame the offensive coordinator and Carroll Rosenbloom.

    Well I think that evens out.

    The Rams get the last minute drive to win a 4th quarter comeback in a series that had 2 4th down conversions, including a 38 yard completion on 4th and 10. That series also included heroic play from completely obscure depth receivers. The Rams then win with 5 seconds left. Even if it’s the pre-season, what they showed in fire and character on that drive was impressive.

    And the Chargers get the better uniform.

    That’s fair.

    everyone talking about the 4th qtr drive… but watch the last play of the 3rd qtr….. Bennet’s TD pass to Mario Williams was sweet…..he also had a nice play action toss to rookie WR Brannon Presley to set up that TD drive in the 3rd qtr.

    Bennett looking comfortable and very agile in 8 straight qtrs of preseason play against scrubs.
