Well…you can’t go into SF and win when you’re on your 3rd center and 5th guard.

I like Powell though. Wonder why Robinson is not in sync with the offense yet.

We have been sucking. The Rams, didn’t address, the OL, in the offseason. We all knew, that this could have been in issue.

Our D sucked, as well. Too many wiff tackles.

Horrible game. Rams need to draft early and often for offensive line. Creed Humpreys intead of Tutu, 8 days a week and twice on Sunday.

I know it’s sacrilegious to say this, after the Super Bowl win, etcetera . . . but, yeah, the Rams gave up waaaaay too much for Stafford. He’s not the essential difference. Goff could have won with last year’s team, IMO. And Stafford is not looking good this year. He’s not as good as Herbert, Mahomes, Allen, etc. If the Rams had mortgaged the future for Herbert, I’d be all in. But not a guy who’s been beaten to a pulp for more than a decade and is on the Back Nine of his career. And they’re stuck with him. Cap hell for at least three or four years.

Stafford is the What If QB par excellence. If drafted by a decent team, he’s All World from Day One. But far too many years in Detroit. Rams got him too late, except for One Year — which was, of course, an awesome One Year.

The Rams also need a powerhouse back. Akers is not the guy. I like Henderson more, but he can’t stay healthy. They need a 240 pounder, to hurt the defense. Beef up the O-line AND the running game.

Too many injuries for the Rams this year. I hope they prove me wrong. But I don’t see them getting back to the Big Dance right now.

I don’t think Goff would’ve won last year. Stafford is better.

They do need offensive line help. Lots of injuries this year is not helping.

I think the reality of trying to repeat a 17 game Championship season is next to impossible .  We’ve been very fortunate with injuries to the Oline  for 5 years and it was bound to happen. The defense is banged Up as well especially the secondary. Jefferson s out till week 8 at least Obj won’t be ready until December rookie Rb out for weeks . I’m not saying they can’t get it together but 2 and 2 is not so bad when you consider the adversity.

We don’t have a first round pick, in 2023. That is in Detroit.

hopefully Matthew Pickford and the Rams peak in Dec and Jan like last year.

    you’re right zn…patchwork line got dominated… 6 sacks…

when does OBJ’s knee get fixed?

Well, I am back to an old theme. You don’t win with OL injuries that massive/extensive. At least not against a solid defense you don’t.

Doesn’t matter how they drafted or who the qb is. Playcalling? Doesn’t matter. You play 3 centers and 5 guards in 4 games and that’s what it looks like. And in fact one of the replacements was during the game.

That’s all it is right there. No matter what else they did, you play with an OL that banged up, and those are the results. It’s 2007 all over again. I am surprised, given the injuries, that they played as well as they did.

True but don’t trivialize a world championship. You can’t keep everyone .   A first round QB or OT is no guarantee.think of all the UDFAs they’ve hit on.

Having a 1st round pick, could be used as a trade chip, to get a real good vet, if they are not comfortable, getting one in the draft.

Last night’s outcome in SF is typical for when the Rams are healthy.  It doesn’t surprise me that playing that game down a bunch of o-linemen, WRs, and DB’s didn’t improve their fortunes.

I knew that pick six was coming. You can’t target the same receiver every play against a defense of that caliber without them making you pay.  Not that I blame Stafford. He’s got no running game, no protection, and only two serviceable receivers (Kupp and Higbee).

    Robert Woods > Allen Robinson

Sony Michel > Henderson + Akers

    Von Miller > whoever

    No turnovers. Too much zone.

No continuity in the OL against a very good DL.

I suspect this is due to injuries also. Kendricks is a rookie and he’s playing over vets with more time in the system.

Last time we saw them with both a beat-up OL and a beat-up secondary was 2011. It’s not a key to success.

I saw that RGIII tweeted that the Rams are misusing Robinson. True or not, it’s been awhile since I’ve felt like the Rams are lacking weapons on offense. The offensive line looked like I thought they would.

Missed the game, and i dont wanna watch the low-lites.

Looks like the season depends on whether McV can patch together

    a decent OLine.

I hate to see a great vet-QB battered all year.   Not a good plan.

I can’t really decide if Akers isn’t recovered, or if the line is just really bad. It may be both. The Rams aren’t going to win against good teams if they can’t run the ball, for obvious reasons. And they’re going to kill Stafford without that part of the offense.

I guess it’s a part of being a Rams fan for so long, cuz I’m already thinking about offseason moves. The majors being they’ve GOT to sign the best LT possible, plus another guard and center, and draft early for the O-line too. Biggest area of concern, IMO.

13 (regular season) games to play, so they have time to work some magic this season. But they don’t look like a Super Bowl team thru 4 games. Injuries have been devastating. Can’t remember it being this bad so early.

i think the oline was an issue even before the injuries.

but no.  no team could have done well with all the injuries the rams have suffered at oline.

niners are a tough team regardless.  i’m just hoping the rams can put together a decent season.
