Rams chat with Jim Thomas
http://live.stltoday.com/Event/Rams_chat_with_Jim_Thomas_57?Page=2
Hi Jim, I still am stunned by how the Rams season has gone, it started with Bradford going down. Is there any word on Bradford recovery, is he around Rams park daily again this year ?
by OzyRamsFan 2:18 PMSaw Bradford last week in the locker room, but didn’t get a chance to talk to him. He was walking without crutches are anything. I don’t even think he had a big brace on. He plans to be around.
by jthomas 2:20 PMAny prediction on the final score this weekend? I think we match up well vs the Iggles.
by LA Champ 2:21 PMI was just talking to someone about this. Too early in the week for a prediction. But I think it has the potential to be a close game. Eagles o-line is beat up although Lane Johnson returns this week. Nick Foles is banged up. Philly giving up a lot of rushing yards _ a lot of yards period _ on defense.
by jthomas 2:22 PMHi Jim, in honor of the 15th anniversary of the GSOT, wouldn’t it be nice if our current Rams could pay tribute by, you know, blowing out the 49ers in GSOT style?
by ihtnep 2:22 PMThat would be nice, eh?
by jthomas 2:22 PMHas Gregg Williams had anything to say regarding the woes of the defense? is he allowed to talk to the press?
by Steve 2:22 PMWilliams talks every Friday to the media. But he was not available last week during the bye. He’ll be back this week on Friday. Stay turned.
by jthomas 2:23 PMAny signs of changes on the offensive line for this weeks game?
by Paul Az 2:23 PMTeam’s first practice of the week isn’t until Weds. I don’t anticipate any changes.
by jthomas 2:24 PMIs Wells completely recovered from his bout with the tick borne illness? Sounded turrible!
by Knux 2:25 PMYeah, it was some crazy story. I was glad to finally be able to get to the bottom of it. He seems healthy and strong. After some bumps in the first two games, he played pretty well _ as did the entire offensive line _ vs. Dallas. (With the notable exception of the botched snap.)
by jthomas 2:27 PMHi Jim, Thanks as always for these chats. I’m a Rams fan in L.A. and these chats and your insights are the best way to stay on top of the team. My questions is concerning the underachieving of our draft picks. It seems that we hear a lot of “He is have trouble picking up the playbook” or “The speed of the game is more than he expected” Whenever I hear that I know it will be a long time (if ever) before that player becomes effective. Do you think we miss on more of these players than other teams in the league? How much responsibility does the coaching staff have on this? Is this one of the reasons you preferred the Rams take J. Matthews over G. Robinson?
by ifilrxz 2:27 PMIt certainly takes some players longer than others. But it certainly like the light has come on for Brian Quick, for example. I really can’t tell you if the Rams have missed on more of these players than others. I think by the end of this season, it’ll be fair to pass at least some judgment on the draft class of 2012. But factoring in how quickly a player can fit into your scheme certainly should be part of the evaluation process pre-draft. It is surprising that Robinson as the No. 2 overall isn’t ready to play. And yes, that is one of the reasons why I liked Jake Matthews.
by jthomas 2:31 PMHi jim, did Bailey get in at all against Dallas?
by Shedrow 2:31 PMStedman was in for 10 plays on offense, but was not targeted. Fisher said during the bye week that Bailey will get a lot more involved in the coming weeks.
by jthomas 2:31 PMI’ve heard a rumor the rams are being sold and moving to the east side (illinois) anything to this or pure speculation by others?
by ramsfan 2:31 PMStan Kroenke is not a seller. He’s not selling the team. I don’t know where you heard this rumor. But I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one.
by jthomas 2:32 PMHello Jim, thanks as always for these chats. Can you help me understand how Davin Joseph has more upside than Robinson as a guard?
by Murat from Jax 2:32 PMHe doesn’t. What Joseph does have, however, is eight years of NFL experience, and right now Fisher is going with a more experienced line.
by jthomas 2:34 PMHi Jim, Last week you mentioned something along the lines of Rams may have blundered with their selections especially the draft. That probably means 6-7 wins utmost. Is there any reason to be optimistic about this team and hope for a 9 win season?
by sKarnam 2:34 PMIt’s going to be tough to reach 9, especially after the Minnesota and Dallas results.
by jthomas 2:35 PMAre there any other completely useless players from Tennessee we can over pay as free agents? or from Auburn that we can reach for in the draft?
by Tony 2:35 PMI’m sure they’re out there.
by jthomas 2:35 PMDavis is feisty, and has put up some good numbers. But both in preseason and in the regular season he has come up short on deep passes. I also am unsure if he can throw the deep out. Does he have the arm strength to be an NFL starter?
by Shedrow 2:36 PMHe has enough arm to get it done deep. And he’s been pretty effective throwing the deep ball so far this season.
by jthomas 2:36 PMIn the category of “super early speculation,” does Austin Davis have a profile that, if he performs well this year, could make the Rams confident in not going for a guy like Mariota, or is he just a short-term fill-in and they’re likely to get a new starting QB next year through FA/draft regardless of Davis’ performance?
by Phil 2:37 PMI think it’s too early to answer those questions. If Davis continues to play like he has in his first two starts, he definitely would affect how the Rams treat the QB position in the offense.
Oops I meant to say “QB position in the offseason” at the end of last answer.
by jthomas 2:38 PMJim, what is status of Travis Austin?
by Michael 2:38 PMWe will find out Wednesday when team holds first practice of the week.
by jthomas 2:38 PMI’ve been saying for 2 years that Austin is the best QB on the roster. He finally gets a chance and plays great. Fisher rewards him by basically benching him after both starts. It’
by Tony 2:38 PMWho says Austin is getting benched?
by jthomas 2:39 PMHi Jim, any concerns that Bradford’s physical makeup, specifically the ligaments, are not strong enough to hold up to the rigors of the NFL play. Seems like both ACL injuries did not result from a high amount of physical contact.
by Mike 2:39 PMThe Carolina injury was more a case of getting foot caught in the turf while being shoved to turf on a scramble. A shove that didn’t have to be made. I agree that the Cleveland injury was funny looking. Some players are just injury prone. It doesn’t mean they’re not physically or mentally tough, sometimes it just happens that way.
by jthomas 2:41 PMDavis has played very very well in his 2 starts. Does that say anything about his caliber or is it just that teams still have to come up with game plans for him which would mean we are in for more embarrassments?
by sKarnam 2:41 PMI’m sure teams are trying to get a book on Davis, and it usually takes several games to do so. Dallas for example had some success blitzing him. So I wouldn’t be surprised to see Philly blitz him Sunday, or try to disguise their looks in the secondary.
by jthomas 2:43 PMJim, to follow up on the Davin Joseph as a guard, I have heard that on the offensive unit that Davin Joseph consistently grades out as the worst performer. In addition, we seem to have strayed from the heavy on the run concept that we changed to last year. Last, the #2 pick in the draft is not on the OL. Seems like this organization/coaching staff has missed something here.
by Mike 2:43 PMLike the rest of the line, Joseph played better vs. Dallas. I think what you might be referring to on grades is from Pro Football Focus, which does some good things but I really don’t put much stock in their grades. Saying that, if I had to rank the OL starters the first two games, I would’ve ranked Joseph fifth among the starters.
by jthomas 2:48 PMHow’s Trumaine Johnson coming along?
by jlarson 2:48 PMI think he’s still a few weeks away. I have yet to see him even do any work on the side.
by jthomas 2:49 PMOdds that davis starts? Philly has a terrible defense, and their corners are very suspect, i could see davis/hill have a pretty good game along with the recievers, now if our d can hold and pressure their week line this game may just be winnable. Maybe…possibly…..well probably not……
by eman 2:48 PM99-1.
by jthomas 2:49 PMIs it normal for coaches to spend so much time complaining/contesting penalties. The Rams seem like very undisciplined and more interested in running their mouths than playing football, yet Fisher comes out every Monday for 3 years and says “It’s not us, it’s them.” I guess you arrive at this nadir by not taking responsibility for anything though. If the Rams aren’t getting a fair shake, it might be because they have drawn the target on their backs themselves.
by Todd 2:49 PMI don’t think Fisher spends that much time complaining about penalties. He was just responding to a series of questions after the Dallas game. And Fisher has said on numerous occasions that he has agreed with a call or calls that went against the Rams. I do agree with your last point however, that maybe the reputation that Fisher’s teams have had w/regards to penalties hurts them.
by jthomas 2:52 PMDon’t you think EJ Gaines has deserved to keep the position when Trumaine is ready? I would expect Tru Johnson will get his job back though..
by Jeff In Utah.. Fan since 1968 2:52 PMGaines had some issues vs. Dallas. We’ll see how he does this week.
by jthomas 2:52 PMNot that it is an excuse, but wasn’t the officiating crew at the Rams game with Dallas (McAulay) the same one that made that horrible call in the Green Bay/Chicago game on the hands to the face call on Peppers? How can this crew still be in the league with 2 weeks like that? The Rams/Dallas game was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen and the GB/Bears game was just as bad.
by Charles B 2:53 PMNo, the crew that worked the Dallas game was headed by Clete Blakeman. I did watch a lot of the Packers-Bears game over the weekend and there were some very bad calls _ I thought _ in that game.
by jthomas 2:54 PMi know its only a few games, but are you sensing that some defensive position coaches may be in on the hot seat? the defense has been awful
by Tre’sBoyfromDC 2:55 PMFisher is very loyal to his coaches. But we’ll see.
by jthomas 2:55 PMWith the FCC ruling preventing blackouts, two Senators preparng bills to repeal the tax exempt status, is the NFL losing power to prevent unilateral team relocation?
by Michael 2:55 PMI don’t think the blackout rule, or even tax exempt status has anything to do with relocation.
by jthomas 2:56 PMThat rams/cowboys game was the worst officiated game that ive ever seen. But were the refs really the reason the rams lost?
by Ed Hochuli 2:56 PMEd, it is painful to watch you officiate any game, no matter which teams are playing. Too many calls. Too many long conferences. Too many windy explanations. The fans aren’t investing time (and if they’re at the stadium _ dollars) to watch you. In a game where you have a pick six, a botched snap, and give up big plays on defense you can’t really say the refs were the reason the team lost. But if a couple of calls go the other way, the Rams may have very well won.
by jthomas 3:03 PMbarret jones? read that he’s doint individual work, still a week or so out?
by eman 3:03 PMYeah, maybe two to three weeks.
by jthomas 3:03 PMBack on the Davis/Hill thing. Is this the longest quad injury in the history of quad injuries? I mean really?
by jay 3:03 PMNot yet. But it’s headed in that direction.
by jthomas 3:03 PMHey Jim. Not a huge Mike Tomlin guy but noticed his post game comments about the Steelers being heavily penalized last week and for the season. He called his team “sloppy” and used the term “unacceptable” when describing his team and coaching. Now I know Fisher states he’s not happy with the penalties and mistakes but I’ve also noticed over the past few years he rarely calls anyone out or makes blunt remarks like his team is just plan sloppy or bad at this or that. Maybe I’m missing something but do you think Fisher is too laid back with his players or does he actually call guys out or his whole team or coaching staff and I haven’t seen it?
by jay 3:04 PMFisher’s usually pretty direct. He mentioned several players that didn’t carry out assignments properly in the Dallas game, including Rodger Saffold, Janoris Jenkins, Lamarcus Joyner, Rodney McLeod, and E.J. Gaines. But he doesn’t do it in a way that’s demeaning.
by jthomas 3:06 PMHow had Joyner been so far? I was expecting a little more even though it’s only been 3 games. He was such a fiery vocal player at florida state and hasn’t really flashed much yet. Is he looking worthy of a 2nd round pick or did the Rams reach for a undersized college type guy….like Tavon Austin.
by jay 3:08 PMW-a-y too early to pass judgment on Joyner. He has played in only two games _ missing Tampa Bay with a back issue. I thought he’d do a little better in coverage though to this point.
by jthomas 3:10 PMHi JT, greeetings from Mexico| all my best friends who tailgate with the best of them are singing the blues| the rest of us in Rams nation are also wondering when the D is going to start showing up? Do we have to wait till Chris Long gets back?
by donniewatters@rocketmail.com 3:10 PMMany of us feel the same way. Maybe this is the weekend it starts to turn around.
by jthomas 3:12 PMJim, first off thanks for the chats – this is only place where i can get an honest perspective about the rams – now – greg robinson – whats going on there .. theres other rookies across the league starting and producing, like that cat from ND thats playing for dem cowboys … give me a straight answer, what is going on w robinson
by Honesty 3:12 PMI don’t know if I can give you an answer any “straight-er” than I have been giving for weeks. Robinson is struggling with the techniques and with his grasp of pass protection schemes. Fisher has said he prefers to go with experience on the line at this point. Obviously a lot of rookies are starting right now across the league. But it is puzzling to have a No. 2 overall pick not playing, and with each passing week it becomes more puzzling.
by jthomas 3:16 PMDo you know if Robert Quinn ever came back from cashing that check?
by Sam 3:16 PMI don’t think it’s fair to say the new contract has effected Quinn’s play. It’s been 2 games since he agreed to terms. P.S. _Tyron Smith of Dallas is very, very good.
by jthomas 3:17 PMJT, this may sound like a dumb question, but do players and coaches take the losses as bad as us fans do – i only ask cause i dont think they do – i see them laughing coming off the fielding etc .. i almost broke my tv after that cowboys loss
by alwaysnextyear 3:17 PMHave you ever smashed a mirror with your forearm after a loss, leaving the floor covered in blood and requiring numerous stitches? That was William Hayes last year. Yeah, I think they care.
by jthomas 3:19 PMWhy has Davis’s completion percentage been in the 70’s when Bradford was only in the 60’s. FYI I am a Bradford supporter.
by Ben S. 3:26 PMFor one, I think the receivers are playing much better this season. Very few drops. For another, we’re talking 2 starts. Not a huge body of work. But make no mistake, Davis looks very accurate.
by jthomas 3:28 PMAfter what game do we start talking draft? Actually I’m still hoping for a 8 and 8 season
by Paul Az 3:29 PMWe live in democracy. You can talk about the draft whenever you want.
by jthomas 3:30 PMWhen are some of the injured players expected back? Has Schottenheimer ever been asked why he doesn’t use Austin like Seattle uses Harvin, Minn uses Patterson, or even why not use him like the Saints previously and now the Eagles use Sproles?
by Nick 3:31 PMB. Jones and Johnson still a couple of weeks away. B. McGee could still be a week or two away. T. Austin could play this week.
by jthomas 3:31 PMWhen comparing Davis to Bradford you have to remember that Davis seems he really enjoys playing football. I think that rubs off. The Davis-Cook thing would have never happened with Bradford b/c Bradford would have just went back to the bench and stared into space.
by Jake 3:32 PMYou mean just like Joe Montana? He was pretty stoic as I recall.
by jthomas 3:32 PMWhen the rams completely forgot about Dez Bryant aka best player on the field was that jenkins or mcleods blown coverage? looked like mcleod biting is what blew it but wanted your perspective
by willywawa 3:32 PMBlown coverage. Jenkins got turned around on a double move. McLeod did bite on the underneath route (run by Terrance Williams), leaving no safety help after Jenkins got beaten. And it was Gaines who let Williams run free.
by jthomas 3:34 PMSchotty deserves credit for the offensive success. We like to give him a hard time about how unimaginable the plays are but he is off to a pretty good start. Atta a boy to schotty.
by Ben S. 3:34 PMThe Rams currently rank 9th in total offense in the NFL playing a QB who was fourth-string about six weeks ago. Schott is a bum.
by jthomas 3:35 PMNot trying to sound critical, but how much did the rams scout Greg Robinson? I recall listening to Robinson after the draft and he appeared, (how is the best way to put it???) extremely unintelligent. Are part of the problems Robinson is facing is the fact that he can’t grasp the playbook, or smarts; or is it purely physical?? Either way, as each passing week, this pick is looking worse and worse
by kevin 3:35 PMI’ve talked to Robinson several times, and he does not seem _ how should I put it _ “extremely unintelligent” _ to me.
by jthomas 3:36 PMif you were coach JT – who is your starting qb and would you have announced it to the media already
by alwaysnextyear 3:37 PMAustin Davis. Announcements can be overrated.
by jthomas 3:37 PMDo you think we will see less of those three man fronts this week? Do you think Greg Williams was trying to bait Romo into an interception by using it so much.
by Paul Az 3:38 PMI hope not on the three-man fronts. Jut sprinkle it in _ not a steady dose.
by jthomas 3:39 PMIs Fisher OVER CAUTIOUS with Grob.. I say throw him in the pool until he can swim, then let’s really move.. would love to have him kicking butt the last 8 games of the season
by Jeff In Utah.. Fan since 1968 3:39 PMObviously, we’re all surprised that hasn’t been the case.
by jthomas 3:39 PMJim do you think coach Fisher will fix the defense inability to stop the run this week?
by Patrick 3:39 PM[/i]LeSean McCoy is hoping that’s not the case.
by jthomas 3:40 PMJim: Biggest pleasant surprise this season or biggest disappointment so far? — players, not units.
by jay 3:41 PMBiggest surprise _ play of Austin Davis. Biggest disappointment _ “non-play” of Greg Robinson.
by jthomas 3:41 PM[/i]how would you rate zac stacy so far this year. .. would he be your starter
by alwaysnextyear 3:42 PM[/i]Stacy certainly looked like the Stacy of last year against Dallas. Hitting the hole hard, spinning into the open, dragging the pile. Stacy.
by jthomas 3:44 PMDo you think the Rams are committed to letting Jake Long and Jared Cook finish their contracts?
by jay 3:44 PMTo be determined. You never really make those kinds of commitments. It’s a week-to-week, year-to-year league.
by jthomas 3:45 PMI think Jake Long has been playing well.
by Ben S. 3:45 PMSame here.
by jthomas 3:45 PMI hate to pin a loss on one play, but if Wells does not botch that snap, we win the game…
by dgt#5 3:45 PMIt certainly was a costly play and helped switched momentum. But the Rams were still up by 11 at the time. So I don’t think you can say the play cost the Rams the game.
by jthomas 3:46 PMHey JT, when the team has a bye week do you also get a chance for some R&R or are you constantly looking for new material to write about?
by Buzz V. 3:46 PMThe only days I’m not working during the bye week is Saturday and Sunday, which I spend in front of the TV watching the college and pro games.
by jthomas 3:47 PMHave you seen any of B. Jones practicing (at any point after being drafted)? How does he look? Any realistic reason to think he’s got the talent to be a quality starter, or is he just so injured and rusty at this point that you see him being more likely to fizzle out?
by rosstipher627 3:47 PMHe has yet to practice since the back surgery. I think the Rams still feel he has starters potential. As for this season, he’ll have a fair amount of rust to knock off before he’s game ready.
by jthomas 3:49 PMit is amazing how the difference between winning and losing is so razor thin. we could just as easily be 2-1 or 0-3
by dgt#5 3:49 PMNot doubt. Ever season between 40-50% of the games are decided by a touchdown or less.
by jthomas 3:50 PMThe Rams play the Eagles, 49ers, Seahawks and Chiefs in October. How many of those game do they win?
by Ramsey 3:50 PMWhy stop there. They play the 49ers, Cardinals, Broncos, Chargers the first 4 Sundays in November. Can the Rams win even 3 of those 8 games? Even if they do, that puts them at 4-7 with five games to play. To be the best, you have to beat the best. When do the Rams start doing that with any kind of consistency?
by jthomas 3:53 PMGreat Chats Always Jim…Couple of thoughts, any surprises in the starting lineups, bunch of us fans are clamoring for Greg Robinson. Not me really, could use more push in the middle. But offense has looked fine to me, can they get better there?
by LA Champ 3:54 PMDon’t expect to see Robinson in the lineup this week. And yes, offense still has room for improvement and growth.
by jthomas 3:54 PMAny thoughts on the mysterious Shaun Hill injury? Did he get bitten by the Scott Wells tick? I’d really wish Fisher would just name a starter, then I could focus on why James L. is reminding me why I wanted to draft a LB in 2015.
by LA Champ 3:55 PMDon’t understand why naming a starter is such a big deal. Is a coronation, is pomp and circumstance needed every time a QB gets a starting assignment? Maybe it’s simply a matter that Fisher isn’t totally sure yet on Davis. As good as Davis has played, he really hasn’t played a top-flight defense. Hypothetically, what if Davis plays well enough against Philly’s 26th-rated defense, is named the starter, then stumbles badly against San Fran and Seattle. Does Fisher then name HIll the starter? Do we then start a yo-yo effect of naming someone new the starter after each bad performance.
by jthomas 4:01 PMHave the Rams defensive linemen figured out yet where the neutral zone is and how to stay out of it to avoid unnecessary 5 yard penalties?
by RichieI 4:01 PMThat is mind-boggling, isn’t it?
by jthomas 4:02 PMGuess that’s all the Rams can do, hang their hat on past glory to sell tickets?
by Knux 4:02 PMRegardless of the motive, I’m glad they’re honoring them. Virtually the entire team will be in town this weekend.
by jthomas 4:02 PMThis question may sound ridiculous but compare Austin Davis first to starts this year to Warner’s first to in 99.
by Josh 4:06 PMInteresting question. Warner completed 45 of 69 passes for 591 yards, 6 TDs and 2 INTs in his first two starts in ’99. Davis has completed 52 of 71 passes for 562 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs in his first two starts. Pretty similar stats except for the TD pass total (and the fact that the Rams won both of Warner’s starts.)
by jthomas 4:08 PMI read something recently that indicated there was “some activity” between the Rams and St. Louis representatives (not sure who that is) on getting the Rams to stay / stadium issues. It was not clear….are you aware of any real talks occurring, any movement in a positive direction?
by Steve 4:09 PMTo my knowledge there has been some communication between the two parties, but nothing really substantial.
by jthomas 4:09 PMThe LB play is horrible.. they have talent, they seem to take themselves out of plays.. can we expect any better from these guys?? Barr from Minn made a game changing sack.. lined up 4 yards deep, held his ground and waited .. he had running back … running back blocked de .. he came charging in for sack once his man gave himself up.. SIMPLE read and react .. Do we need SIMPLE on the Dee right now?
by Jeff In Utah.. Fan since 1968 4:10 PMI wouldn’t say horrible. But like everything on the defense, the LB play can be better.
by jthomas 4:11 PMWhat can the Rams do to fix the defense? With an effective defense, I see 2-1 and a bright future as opposed to where they are, now.
by bfulton 4:12 PM1.) Be more effective containing the edge; 2.) Cut down on penalties; 3.) Minimize overall mistakes in alignment, coverage _ in other words _ no “free” big plays. 4.) Come up with some turnovers; 5.) cut down on 3-man fronts. 5.) Fewer missed tackles.
by jthomas 4:14 PMJim, will tre mason will at least get to suit up this weekend? why they waste a high pick on him if they dont even want to give him a shot? ?
by Tre’sBoyfromDC 4:14 PMWho do you bench in the RB rotation to make room for Mason: Stacy? Cunningham? Watts?
by jthomas 4:15 PMIs there a “quick fix” for the defensive line? I’ve thought maybe there’s been a transition to a different Defensive Coordinator, but watching the Cowboys and Bucs games, it seems our line is just plain getting beat. Should we be nervous about this? Are you nervous about this?
by John in AK 4:15 PMDisappointed? Yes. Nervous. No?
by jthomas 4:16 PMWith Oakland canning Dennis Allen this early, got any odds on favorites for his replacement there? Does anyone want that job?
by Knux 4:16 PMNo one with any sense. But there are only 32 of these jobs in the world, so someone will take a chance and sign up to work for that crew.
by jthomas 4:17 PMNow that Dallas is 3-1 and Minnesota has played fairly well – does that make our losses not look that bad? Although nothing will make the Minnesota game look better.
by Charles B 4:17 PMAnd you could throw in. . .”and Tampa Bay won in Pittsburgh.” But the NFL is truly a week-to-week deal. Often what happens one week has no relation to what happens the next. The Rams should’ve beaten Dallas by 10 points. And they should’ve played much better against Minnesota.. That’s all there is to it.
by jthomas 4:19 PMFirst uni question of the day when are the throw back dates
by way up north 4:20 PMThe Oct. 13 Monday Night game vs. San Francisco (which is the Super Bowl XXXIV championship team reunion game), and the Dec. 21 contest vs. NY Giants.
by jthomas 4:20 PMdisaggree with taking so many carries away from stacy. Give him the rock!!
by eman 4:21 PMI like working in the other guys. It should help keep Stacy fresh down the stretch.
by jthomas 4:21 PMHi Jim, PLEASE tell us the Rams are NOT bringing Sam Bradford back next season (even as a backup). PRETTY PLEEEASE?
by Dan Lum 4:22 PMCan’t tell you that. At least not at this point.
by jthomas 4:22 PMAny body in the organization have any thoughts on Jared Cook?
by Lane 4:23 PMYes.
OK, a little joke there Lane. Yes, the drop was huge. But cook has played pretty well so far. If not for that offensive P.I. against Quick I think, Cook has 8 catches for 105 yards against Dallas.
by jthomas 4:25 PM*JIM WHAT A HELL IS HAPENNING WITH B QUICK (IN A GOOD WAY)??
by ALEJANDRO 4:25 PMLight switch on. More confidence. Less thinking, more reacting on the field.
by jthomas 4:25 PMHi Jim. Can the Rams win 3 in the next two months?
by 805 Cutman 4:25 PMGreat question. I’m gonna say yes.
by jthomas 4:26 PMJim: Are there any Rams fans in your family? Do they get to go to games with you?
by Jeff In Utah.. Fan since 1968 4:26 PMWe were original PSL holders in 1995 _ my wife, my brother, and my two oldest boys, that is. (I’m in the press box, of course.) But we dropped the PSLs maybe 10 years ago after boys got busy with hs games, now they’re both out of college and don’t live in STL any more. But they still follow the team. US Army Capt. Thomas (my oldest) still wears his Isaac Bruce jersey from time to time. My wife still watches the games on TV.
by jthomas 4:30 PMNO THINKING ABOUT RAMS… QB YOU LIKE IT MOST?? MARIOTA O WINSTON
by ALEX 4:30 PMI’ll take the Oregon Duck.
by jthomas 4:30 PMDo you think the FCC’s end to the blackout rule could lower attendance at Rams games enough to be used as rationale to move the team?
by Concerned Fan 4:30 PMPossible. But the Rams haven’t blacked out a game since 2009. I think fans are used to, and have been used to, games being on TV no matter what for a while.
by jthomas 4:32 PMThanks for playing. . .until next week.
by jthomas 4:33 PMSeptember 30, 2014 at 9:38 pm #8775InvaderRamModeratori’d like to see robinson soon.
doesn’t sound like joseph has exactly been playing all that great.
