    INJURY REPORT

    http://www.dailynews.com/sports/20161111/todd-gurley-still-stuck-in-frustrating-cycle-of-rams-offense

Bothered by a thigh injury, Gurley nonetheless practiced in full on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday. The same went for defensive tackle Michael Brockers (groin), cornerback Trumaine Johnson (ankle) and defensive back Lamarcus Joyner (back).

All four starters seem likely to play against the Jets, whose injury report has reached absurd lengths. In addition to left tackle Ryan Clady, who was placed on injured reserve this week, New York has ruled out linebacker Bruce Carter (quad), defensive back Marcus Williams (ankle), linebacker Josh Martin (concussion), tight end Kellen Davis (elbow) and offensive lineman Nick Mangold (ankle).

If they don’t win this game, I just don’t know anymore.
It’s like Lombardicus, the God of Football, is trying to gift us this one.

Put me on the disabled list. I have diarrhea. But, I’m a trooper and will still be watching. Then again, I wonder where I would fit on the disabled list?

Bryce Petty will start at quarterback for Jets vs. Rams

Bryce Petty will get his first career NFL start at quarterback Sunday for the New York Jets.

On NFL GameDay Morning, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that that Petty will start — something Jets players believed earlier this week based on how starter Ryan Fitzpatrick looked in practice. Fitzpatrick, who has been nursing a knee injury, could be active Sunday based on how he looks in pregame warmups, Rapoport added.

Petty, a 2015 fourth-round pick, scrambled to keep a roster spot this preseason with the team already planning to keep three other quarterbacks.

Fitzpatrick has been dealing with a knee sprain suffered last week in a loss to the Dolphins. He was listed as questionable on Friday and participated on a limited basis in practice all week.

Bowles said earlier this week that he did not have a quarterback controversy, though Fitzpatrick’s injury could provide him a prime opportunity to see the 25-year-old quarterback in action against a talented Rams defense.

Bowles previously said this season that he would not bench Fitzpatrick before handing the baton to Geno Smith.

With Petty starting, his performance could go a long way toward deciding how the Jets will look at quarterback next season. At the moment, many expect the team to roll with Petty and second-round pick Christian Hackenberg in 2017.
