I would put Stabler first, and Marino 2nd.

    For completely different reasons.

Stabler because of clutch plays, and Marino because he just embodied the great pure passer type.

I thought the same thing when I read that…..

“Same ole Sorry ass Rams?” … fuck that guy…. usually, after I watch a “30 for 30” or “NFL Timeline or “A Football Life” I get a different insight on the player or team and I find myself thinking… gosh, “that guy wasn’t such a big asshole like I thought he was” I didn’t get that feeling after watching Steve Young’s Football life… I still think he’s an arrogant ass. but I do think he’s very good as an analyst. He’s just very lucky that Bill Walsh saved his career from Tampa Bay.

Ken Stabler, I don’t get that one either… Holy Roller? receivers with stick em? Stabler’s Raiders were lucky cheaters……. if i’m not mistaken, his last game was against the Rams as a Saint or an Oiler…

    I liked Dan Fouts… I think he’s underrated, Chargers were great…

    I liked watching Jim Kelly

I thought Phils Simmms was underrated too. I liked the Bill Parcells NY Giants teams of the 80’s.

QBs I couldn’t stand: Joe Thiesman, Rob Johnson, Jeff Hostetter and Trent Dilfer…. I always remember the shouting match Dilfer got into with Billy Jenkins after the 1999 Championship game…….Jenkins should’ve dislocated his other shoulder…….

So many, for an old man like me. My favorite players are often from the 70s. My football-formative years.

Jim Hart, John Brodie, Archie Manning, Stabler, Fouts, Sipe, Len Dawson, George Blanda, Namath.

I probably woulda liked Don Meredith, and Bart Starr but they were a bit before my time.

Quarterbacks today should just wear dresses. In fact the whole league should just wear dresses now. Pretty soon, no-one will even have a concussion till, like, game ten.

Put Brady on the teams Archie Manning had to play on, in the League Archie Manning had to play in. Then see what a genius ole Tom would be.

Steve McNair. He got to a Super Bowl with Jeff Fisher as Head Coach. That is a miracle in its own right. I doubt any other QB could do that.
