In the last 4 games the Rams played some of the best “points allowed” defenses in the NFL. According to PFR, they’re all top 10. Seattle is 3rd, Arizona is 8th, and Buffalo is 5th. And that;s with an offense that for various reasons is off to a rough start (OL, running game, receivers getting in sync and ending the dropsies).
Detroit is 20th in points allowed and the Rams may be slowly, painfully getting better.
But then Detroit just beat the Eagles, who were previously undefeated.
It’s the 3-2 immovable force against the 2-3 resistanceless object.
What’s yer bet on this one.

I don’t know. Tru is out. Brockers, Hayes, Quinn? Who knows? 4 defensive starters?
That hurts. Detroit has some weapons.
Call me a non-believer in this “resurgent” offense until they start getting touchdowns. GZ really is having a nice year.
Probably another close one. Rams need it really bad. But if they’re missing all these players, I don’t know. I want to believe they will win so I’ll say they will win.
By a field goal.
With 3 seconds left.

October 10, 2016 at 11:41 pm #54967InvaderRamModeratorif the defense can get healthy then yes. i am confident the rams can win.
as long as they don’t turn the ball over…
they almost beat buffalo without quinn and brockers while giving up two turnovers – one being a pick 6.

I agree. If Quinn and Brockers play, the Rams win.

If not…is it a loss? Or just iffy?

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.
Sprinkles are for winners.

I think it’s still a winnable game even if they don’t play. The Rams’ running game may get on track against Detroit. Their defense is giving up 4.9 yards per rush.
TruJo’s loss is gonna hurt and will really be amplified if Quinn can’t play.

yeah. they still could win. but my confidence would go way down. i also think they’d then need a +1 turnover advantage at least.
October 13, 2016 at 3:38 pm #55148sanbaggerParticipantRams as underdogs are a pretty strong bet.
If they get in to an offensive batlle with Detroit, probably not…but they won that against Tampa and I didn’t think they could win an offensive game against them either.
I think the Rams are gonna come out with something to prove and CK is feeling the heat a little after that big INT….I say yep they come out of Detroit a winner 26-23
Gurley should have a good game and CK comes out of it unscathed…TA gets in the end zone.
October 14, 2016 at 1:31 am #55184znModeratorI want to encourage folks to pitch in. It’s all for fun, no one is counting. I know the Bills game was deflating but still!
If it helps any…have some pie.

Burrrrrrp. That pecan pie was awesome. Thanks.
Finding it difficult to make any predictions, here. On top of the Rams traditional Jekyll and Hyde persona, there are some unknowns regarding the health of the team that may not be known until game time. At least, that’s what I think I recall Fisher as saying.
Brockers, Hayes, Quinn And Tru all out? I don’t see a win. If 2 of those D linemen are available, and can help Donald, I can see a chance.
The O still hasn’t given me a real warm fuzzy, yet. I am pleasantly surprised that pieces of the O are starting to develop, but several times in recent games, when they had the ball to either ice it or claw back in (last week), just getting 1 first down was an issue.
It’s been talked about for 5 weeks now, so no piling on is necessary… Gurley needs to let loose. Runner, receiver, whatever opposing D’s will allow.

October 15, 2016 at 5:17 pm #55334PA RamParticipantWell–I sure hope they win. I won’t be home all day–going to a fall festival in Jim Thorpe, PA. So I’ll be checking in on my phone for updates. We’ll be getting some wine and meade while there. So if things don’t work out–I’ll be able to forget about it in short order.
