I was in New York City over the weekend. I had never been in a big city like that before.

I expected it to be kinda filthy and dysfunctional but it was quite clean
and everything seemed to work somehow.

Saw a play on broadway called ‘The Humans’ and then i walked around the theater district and looked up at all the lights and buildings. Had some fancy food. Went to the Strand Book-store, which is a huge store. Went to a museum and saw some van goghs, and Monets, and Kandinsky’s, etc.

This song was in the play i saw. I liked it:

It is winter. Head south. We won’t bite.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

Yeah, NYC is awesome. It has a different vibe than any other big city I’ve ever been in. I also like how it’s very easy to get around, especially now with uber. Did you go to Central Park? That alone is worth the trip. Of course, my favorite attraction in NYC is the American Museum of Natural History.

I did not see the dinosaurs in NY, but i am going back in January and will probly see them.

I agree there was an ‘energy’ in that place. It was palpable to a slow, old, wv-boy. I must have been in the rich section of NY cause the one thing that stood out more than anything else — was the clothes. Everyone — and i mean everyone — was dressed all stylish and fashionable. Scarves and boots and fancy hats and coats. WV aint like that.

I took a cab ride just for the hell of it. I have no idea how anyone survives the cab rides in NY. I thought we were gonna kill ten people at least.

    Also, i saw black people.
And brown people and yellow people. We only have white people in WV.
I enjoyed all the accents and colors.

I go to NYC a few times a year.

I love it. I’ve been in a lot of the museums. The Natural History one has a great planetarium. I think that’s my favorite one. My wife loves the Met. A fun one with some very ODD art is the MOMA.

    Lots to do there.

I love just people watching in Central Park on a nice day.

Also–if you get a chance to take the Roosevelt Island Tram it’s a lot of fun and presents an opportunity for cool pictures from the island.

We were just there and went through the shops at Bryant Park and their winter festival.

If you want a great view pay the 20 bucks and take the elevator to the Top of the Roc and Rockefeller center. Fantastic views.

I love NYC. One of my favorite cities in the world.

If I were in my 20s, single, and had some money/income, I’d live in NYC.
