With all that is going on with the fires–the practice problems, the distractions of what is happening in the community and possibly their own homes and some of the injuries–I get it.
It would be rather amazing with all of that if they DID win.
I don’t see it as an excuse either–I see it as the reality of the situation.
I don’t expect them to win this week or even look good–but I don’t think it is really going to show who they are as a team if that happens. It’s just a bad situation.
The Eagles–being away anyway, have had less distractions and even their practices have not had the disturbances the Rams have had.
I’m not saying the Rams can’t win the game even with all of this but it would be a major achievement.
I hope that somehow they are able to pull it off–but it won’t be easy. And I will get it if they can’t.

If I’m McVay, I’m telling my troops, that the people of LA is what we are playing for. The people in those wild fires. Let’s give those fans, that can’t be there, something to be proud of, while they are going through a tough time. That is the speech I’d be giving the team. Hopefully it will work.

PA, my catastrophe oriented friend, we have heard absolutely nothing about any of this having any effect on any Rams player or coach.
They had to do a walk through on Weds instead of practicing, but then were back to outdoor, pads on practicing by Thursday.
Not one of the stories on this gives any indication that any Rams players live in the areas that were in jeopardy.
My view on anxiety is this. It’s such a precious thing, better to save it for times when it’s actually pertinent.

Hold on my “everything is rainbows and lollipops” friend. The report on Thursday’s practice was that the winds were making things very difficult for the quarterbacks. You just think about THAT my friend. You just think about THAT! Then tell me how you sleep at night.
