It is nice to have a permanent chat feature again. Thanks to RM for that. I think he put in some extra work on that.

Personally I like it. There are minor quirks to be mindful of–It has a bit of a delay when you post and that may be structural. That doesn’t bother me, but if you’re a rookie there you should know that the first time. It also times you out after 30 minutes so lurkers (who are welcome) should just type an asterik * now and then or refresh the page.

All told we had several drop ins, and then a core that stayed there through the game. Which unfortunately means we also saw all of the game, including the “you will never see this again” line-up of Hooey and Austin Davis.

If you add up everyone, drop ins included, we were getting back to old chat room population standards from last season.

This is a great chat group. Always has been. Except for Nittany’s incessant death threats, which I think are mostly in jest anyway, it’s the best way to watch a game (for me, personally).

If anyone else has thoughts, jump in.

Next game isn’t broadcast nationally so time maybe to buy the NFL.com preseason package.

If anyone wants to try internet tv let me know and I will link the thread we have on that.

Next game is Saturday the 23rd at 8 PM. Rams @ Browns. We all get to see why we should have drafted/are glad we didn’t draft Manziel, the childman.

Only thing I noticed is that the mobile side wouldn’t post. On my iPhone, it would load fine and I could even type a comment, but as soon as I hit the Done button on my keyboard, I got the dominoes of death (basically the spinning beachball of death, but in black and white). Dunno how important the mobile aspect is, but feedback is important and I figured I’d let y’all know how my mobile test drive of the chat room went.

Sports is the crucible of human virtue. The distillate remains are human vice.
