    I remember watching The Drive with mesmerized fascination as it was happening. Hey look at that, it’s like their a real offense with a real qb…the kind of team the Rams usually lose to.

    Back then I had to watch games in sports bars, and the only sports bars that carried every game were out of town. So I drove to the place, went in, found the tv with the Rams game, put my jacket on the chair where I was gonna sit, and then just stood there before sitting to watch the drive unfold. I really did have the feeling I just described–a real offense with a real qb, where did THAT come from? It was as if it wasn’t real.
