Well after losing 3 straight I think we’re in “might as well play Goff” territory

    Rams suck. True.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

    Sprinkles are for winners.

As much as I like Keenum’s moxie, he always finds a way to make a critical mistake.

I agree…time to start the Goff era.

The Rams can lose with Goff just as well as they can with Keenum and at least the kid would be getting his feet wet.

They’ve lost three big games in a row.

The season is ‘not’ over yet. Next game is a must-win though.

They are just… missing something. Could it be a QB ?

A Head Coach. This team needs a real Head Coach. One that can win games.

GRob was very bad…LT’s a key missing element right now.

I give CK at fault for 2 of his 4 INT’s today

I put the coaching staff at fault for the red flags that again killed us all day.

Quick had a very good game except for the miscommunication to end the game.

TA made a critical mistake by not handling the catch that resulted in a pick-6, but had a pretty good game and made some critical 3rd down pick ups.

Keenum threw it over 50 times today. Not exactly the ‘balance’
they are looking for, i would think.

Two lower-end-wildcard teams playing mediocre ball today. Ah well.

After three straight losses Rams fans need cheering up.

Lessee’, the Rams will undoubtedly be announcing Fisher’s five year extension pretty soon…maybe they can add that Goff will start the first week after the bye?

There, two things for Rams fans to look forward to.

I got back late this morning from a weekend trip so I came in at the Rams with a 10-3 lead. Watched from there. I didn’t have much emotion except for some frustration. But I’ve mostly checked out emotionally at this point.

    So just a few things.

Why is this run game struggling so mightily this year? The offense should be going through Gurley–not Keenum–but the Rams don’t seem to have a choice. I don’t know.

Yes–Keenum threw 4 picks. To be fair they were not all on him. If this offense didn’t have to rely on Keenum to win he’d be fine. He is the game manager type of QB we’ve talked about–but if all the weight is on him—forget it. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. It was SUPPOSED to go through Gurley. But some passes were certainly horrible today.

And why on earth would you throw that on 3rd and ten? Basically it was a jump ball. You hope that Quick gets the message and runs the correct route but even if he does–it’s a jump ball. There have to be better options.

Hey–it is what it is. They are 3-4 and will be lucky to hit 8-8.

At this point Fisher has no choice–he has to play Goff now. You’ve wasted 7 games playing a guy who will be gone next year. What do you have to show for it? I’m not saying Goff could have won those 3 games–but 3-4 or 2-5 or 1-6—who cares? Use the rest of this season to play Goff. Let him develop pocket awareness, let him work on getting in sync with the receivers. And yes–let HIM make those mistakes and hopefully learn.

All the reasons for playing Keenum are gone now. If Goff is really so unprepared that he can’t even get on the field now–well–let’s just say if that’s the case than what happens this season is the least of their worries.

Play Goff. It will make another 7-9 season interesting.

By the way–just heard on NFL network that Fisher said Case will continue to start.

The same guy that said we weren’t going to trade Bradford? He should start Mannion if he isn’t going to start Goff. imo

Like you said, Keenum won’t be here next year anyway.

I thought GRob got some bad calls. Also. I felt that the refs missed an illegal shove, and a PI call, both on the Giants the one that Britt was coming down inside, the Giant db pushed Britt, and was not looking for the ball.

Fisher isn’t going to throw Keenum under the bus and he shouldn’t. He’s also not going to make a decision about who starts the next game immediately after another tough loss. He will take some time, look at the film, consult with his coaches and then decide to start Goff.

At this point not starting Goff only makes sense if he isn’t as ready to play as Fisher has been saying he is.

GRob has the rep and until he shakes that off by being squeeky clean, he’s gonna get called…it’s on him.

I also didn’t like the Nuetral zone call against AD…that was a bad call period…but, just like GRob the Rams a whole have a bad rep and the refs are comin in lookin to throw flags on them.

i think fisher would have to be stubborn or just plain stupid if he were to keep playing keenum.

unless goff just ain’t ready yet.

Fisher signing an extension is a bad thing. How are you going to excite the LA fan base, giving an extension to a losing head coach? The fans in LA, scratching their heads, knowing signing Fisher to an extension means you don’t care. Below mediocre is fine. That is what Fisher gives you. LA fans are smart and know as longbas hebis here, the Rams will never see the playoffs. I will probably hit powerball jackpot before the Rams make the playoffs with Jeff Fisher as Head Coach

    Yeah I was joking, Jack.

Although John Clayton and others think the extension has already been signed or at least agreed upon…

My gut says he has not signed. And if Stan cares, and knows he has to sell to the fans. He would have been smart to tell Fisher, if you don’t make the playoffs, look elsewhere for another job.

Lost in all this, is the fact that the Giants got to play the Rams
    on a neutral field.

IF they play at home, in LA….who knows?

As dismal and mediocre and boring as this Ram team is, 3-4 is
still on the cusp of the last playoff berth.

It aint over. I know a LOT of folks are in furious-fire-everyone mode,
but its hardly beyond reason to think they might win two in a row
    and find themselves at 5-4.

Next game is a Must-Win though. If they go two games under .500 they are toast.

Next game is a playoff game.

Since this is the bye week when can we start posting threads about something other than this loss?

And 3-4 is not in competition for a playoff spot. 8-8 is rarely good enough. Seattle had to win the division to get in sub .500.

3-4 is still in the hunt…maybe a bit of a longshot but still in the hunt.

9 games to go and we can look back at 2-3 of those losses that could have easily been wins…just turn those around the 2nd half and get on a run.

If a team get’s hot and builds confidence they can roll off 3, 4, 5 wins in a row.
