One of my alltime favorite movies, by Wes Anderson,
    – The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Tilda, Dafoe, Goldblum, Keitel, Fiennes, F.Murray Abraham, Ed Norton, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, Bob Balaban…

Wes Anderson also did Darjeeling Express, Monrise Kingdom, The Royal Tannenbaums, The Squid and the Whale, The Life Aquatic, Rushmore, Bottle Rocket..

Looks like none of his movies broke the 60 million dollar mark at the box office. He dont make blockbusters.

Yeah, I really like all those movies. I always think of you when I see Moonrise Kingdom. When I was watching it in the theater for the first time I thought this was a film you would like. I could picture you fitting in quite nicely in that universe. 😉

I’m also a fan of the ‘mockumentaries’ done by Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer, Michael Mckean, etc….This is Spinal Tap, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind…

I want to see Bad Santa 2.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

I’m sure I have many favorite quirky movies but this one definitely makes my list. Elvis Presley and John F. Kennedy are still alive(sort of) and battling a mummy in a nursing home. A quirky film that’s a lot of fun.

    Let’s see.

    It’s a Wonderful Life.
    Rocky.
    Forrest Gump.
    The Sound of Music.
    My Fair Lady.
    Stagecoach.

All the movies that make the quirky choice of presenting mainstream visions of the world and of life, as if they were real.
